very lovely.

first off i must express how terribly sorry i am that i haven't been able to get to this request sooner. you requested on my review thread several weeks ago and i haven't been able to see to it as i should have been. nanowrimo took up my entire life and i fear that put me down more than i would have liked. you probably forgot about the request that you made on my thread but you made one and here i am, filling it a little late but hopefully helpful all the same.

i thought that this was a very nicely written, interesting introductory chapter. you did a nice job of setting things up in a very readable way and your flow was impeccable throughout the entire thing. this is really your first story on this site? you must have some other writing experience because this really was nicely done.

you only concern was whether or not Vera was making a good OC and i must put your worries to the rest in a positive way. she is an incredible OC! she fits well into the story and certainly has a nice heir about her than i particularly enjoy. i have no complaints whatsoever. i always find it hard to have complaints when dealing with OC's especially during the first chapter but i believe that i still wouldn't have a problem with yours. she is starting off well; let's just hope that she will continue that way.

overall i thought that this was a fantastic first chapter. you seem to know your plan, where you are going with this, i mean and that is always good when you begin any story. feel free to request again on my review thread any time. i would love to read some more of your work or what you add onto this. wonderful job on this first chapter. keep up the lovely work.

Author's Response: I am sosososo sorry not to have thanked you sooner for your kind review! I got extremely busy and haven't had a chance to visit HPFF until now. My school has had several days off because of a snow storm, and I have some free time.

As far as previous writing experience goes, I am a fiction major at my university - so I am particularly nervous about how people respond, because I hope to make my living writing.

I have worked some more here and there on this story, and I will eventually get the 2nd chapter up.
