Review #1, by evil evie The Trial, Part III

28th December 2009:
I love how you make the Vanderbilt legacy such a strong motivation and conflict for these characters!

All I can say is that this fic and the research, preparation that went into it must have definitely taken hours upon hours! I can definitely appreciate it. I really love the way you juxtapose the idea of morals, of right/wrong, against family.

Furthermore, your characterisation is amazing! What dynamic, rich characters.

Good job.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! This review really made my day :)

It did take a long time--complex family trees, reading stories that featured insane characters ("The Boleyn Inheritance" by Philippa Gregory was my main source), setting the mood, etc. I've got one more chapter to write, and then I think I'm done with this story.

I was fascinated with the idea of an entirely pure-blood family, with an amazingly intricate history, a sort of different class from the Black family. The Vanderbilts will be mentioned often in my upcoming stories.

Best (and thank you again),
