I reviewed this a while back on FFN, and I'm glad that I found it again. The interaction was smooth, the antisocial American meeting Harry was well played. But still, 8,000 words! I'm impressed, and speaking of which. When will Hermione be updated?Author's Response: I'm glad you like it and believe me when I say, I am working to finish the next chapter of Hermione. This is a fun one-shot. I really like the idea of Harry "just needing to escape", but ending up with Bronte, who couldn't care less. I also like the cultural implications there- it does seem as though Americans wouldn't even take notice of Voldemort's demise, let alone celebrate. I also enjoyed how you let her walk away clueless, although, she probably wouldn'tve cared either way had she known his name! Nice story, as usual, I think it should have more reviews than it does. P.S. Dying for an update on "Hermione"!! 10/10 -DaniAuthor's Response: Wow! I was afraid poor Bronte had been forgotten and ignored. I'm glad you liked it, and the next chapter of Hermione is in the pit, and it is a nice long one, 8000 words! And it is also probably the most exciting chapter yet! Report Review
An interesting story, but it does not quite seem finished.Author's Response: I suppose I imagined the ending being somewhat similar to the ending in Great Expectations, where the reader is allowed to decide what happens to the characters. So, what do you think happened? Report Review
