This really shows off everything that I love about your writing - I just know your characters so well that they're like old friends. Yes, I've said that before but I do mean it. James... He was in every word you wrote, characterisation was divine. So sad :(

I loved it. I really did. I think the beauty of this fic is how simple it was, yet you managed to capture emotions and captivate the reader all the while. I've read many Lily/James one shots of this event and they all start to sound the same after awhile. But yours, it was a fresh new read for me. I liked being put alongside James and not Lily for once. I think you're very original in putting in the reader more inside James' head. Great job. :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much. I had the idea when I was half asleep and the song randomly got stuck in my head. It more or less flowed once I started writing, and it was going to have Lily as well but it just didn't happen.
