Author's Response: No, really I think this is my best story to date. If you read all my stories starting with Cold is your Silence up to this one you'll see how different my writing style has become since this time last year.
This one really has taken me by surprise by the fact it's just become so popular with over 10,000 reads and your review being the 98th far more than I've ever had for any of my stories ever and doubt I will again.
I'm thinking about looking at that one again but I've got to do a couple more things before then like this one and a couple of other things. I'm thinking about putting a few more stories out in the next year mainly one-shots and a songfic but if you wan't to see more details the best place is looking at my forum page.
Ginny is an interesting character who's also going to be in trouble in chapter 18. Not bad kind of trouble but trouble.
You're going to have to wait and see if Draco's around. I put chapter 17 in on the 12th and today's the 18th so hopefully *fingers crossed* that it's going to be soon.

I really like it and I think that Draco should at least have his say. What would be even funnier is that if Draco ended up at the club that would be the best ever.

Draco know's he's upset her big time and he's got a pretty good explanation which is explained once in chapter 17 and more detailed in chapter 18.
So I hope you're going to enjoy the next bit I don't think it sounds very good but there's a subtle plot twist in it which was introduced in this chapter but no one seems to have picked up on it.

That was...shocking to say the least. I can't believe Draco would DO that! Ahhh, I hope you have a good explanation like Daphne jumping on him or like giving him a love potion ;D haha. It was sooo cute that he whispered those words right after she left :/ very sad as well. Harry was very sweet. I also liked the twist where she ended up going to her childhood home. I absolutely /loved/ the hearfelt talk she had with Astoria...I thought it was cute (:

Harry's just being a good friend to her if only a little over-protective.
I decided that it really would be the best place for her to go because I gave all the reasons in the chapter of why she couldn't go to other places.
Yeah it would've come in at some point but reviewers brought it to my attention so it was written.

He was the idiot the kiss her sister that hates her. Heck if he loved her he would have done everything in his power to stay away from the other two sisters.I would have thought he would not let hardly any other men near her... All I can say is wow and it better be he was drugged or something like that and not on his own free will.

Author's Response: Strong opinions and interesting ones at that. Draco couldn't have really kept the other men away from her at ball because it's her presentation ball therefore one of the ideas is that she meets a lot of the eligable men there though of course she had her sights with Draco but it's one of the reasons I had her saying that she couldn't believe she was flirting in the last chapter.
Draco has got a LOT of explaining to do but you won't really hear about it until chapter 17 and then that's an interesting conversation with another character who's helping him. Intrigued? good ;) Then in chapter 18 he explains it more to Hermione which is a sweet version but all the truth so there's plenty to look forwards to. You'll have to see how close you are to all of this in a couple of chapters time before I reveal too much.

The next chapter is in the queue for validation so I'm hoping it's not going to be too much longer. PLEASE tell me Hermione is smarter then that an will figure out what happened??? I have a feeling that Draco was under a spell, I really don't think that Draco would hurt Hermione in that way. I know that he use to, but he has changed and he loves her. And please tell me that he goes after her. I'm sure that he is able to figure out where she went, I mean come on she was with Harry. Ok, I'll stop. LOL Good story line!!!

Author's Response: Hello again, I've missed your reviews! OK getting back to the story. Hermione is going to be told in chapter 18 what happened from the view of Draco so she doesn't have to figure anything out. Besides which Ginny completely distracts her with a girly night out so that'll be something to look forward to in chapter 17.
Draco doesn't go after her, but he will have help from a mysterious source who will cut him some slack in chapter 17 as well which Hermione will work out in chapter 18 so there's a lot to come from basically a 24hour slot with three maybe four chapters in it. But getting back to Draco he has a good idea where she's going but with the state she's in he decides it's better for him to back off and give her some space.
I won't stop writing you don't have to worry about that and I really don't mind replying to all your questions I just might not give you all the answers you want because it may spoil things for you. But there's a lot to look forward to Chapter 16 is in the queue for validation so I'm hoping it's not going to take too much longer to come through. Thanks for your reviews they mean a lot to me as I'm sure you know.

Author's Response: Thank you, some people still haven't forgiven me! He's really upset her, the idea is that he's been her rock, her constant throughout all of this.
I mean her discovering she's a pureblood after her adoptive-parents death, then when she was meeting her parents for the first time, being there when she was at the Burrow, when Ron broke it off with her, and when Pansy cursed her, the chimeras as well. So together they've been through a lot and they've come to rely on each other more and more so for this to suddenly happen is a big blow not just for Hermione but for Draco as well. Even if he is the one who's screwed up, though of course not everything could be as it seems!
I know where the inspiration from this came because one time when I was at a disco I ended up seeing my then boyfriend at the time kissing this other girl. Of course we broke it off, but I ran off and it started to rain as well so this is my own personal twist to Hermione's character. But unlike for me and the guy redemption could be in store for Draco.
I was trying to work out what to call it and I hadn't written the second half of it at the time and it was still going to be called presentations because Hermione is being presented to the pureblood community as a whole as Hermione Greengrass but then when I wrote this I was just like she's had a complete heartbreak so that's how it all came together.
I tell you what though I was so worried when I put ...Of Heartbreak out because it's so much more angst, sadness and kind of darker than the rest of the story so I was terrified that people would seriously hate it!
So glad to hear that people think it's still great work! It's such a relief in all honesty.
The next chapter is in the queue for validation and it's called- Burrow, Girly Plans and make up. It's going to be humorous in parts so it's going back to the old form of the story which is lighter and funnier but it's all good fun. Chapters 16-18 are all linked together just not like the ball was. So lots to look forwards to.

You knew that was going to happen? Wow! Have you like stolen my brain? All is going to be explained in chapters 17 and 18, both times by draco one to Hermione and the other to someone else, but I'm not going to say who because it's not exactly a surprise but it's interesting.
Of course it's not right, Hermione and Draco are meant to be together but as to whether they manage it in the end, well even I don't know so I can't give you an definite answer.
I'm sorry that it upset you, :( , but I think you're going to like chapter 18 because it has some humour in it then again so does 17.

Author's Response: Yes, I didn't want to tell you exactly where and where you'd gone off the plot. More of your guesses will be explained in chapters 17 and 18 which is Draco's view as to why he was with Daphne in the banquet/dining room so that's something worth waiting for.
I don't know exactly when they are going to make up that'll probably be chapter 19 or 20.
Just don't give up on me, and chapter 16 is in the queue so your wait hopefully isn't going to be too long. I'm glad someone still likes the story (and me?) because of the plot twist I threw in there, it's not like I didn't warn you guys! Great chapter. I'm glad they didn't go beyond kissing (or at least I hope that's the case). I'm kinda hoping that Astoria helps bring them back together since she seems sweet. I'll be looking forward to the next update :)

Astoria is probably going to continue to be a 'lesser' character until Christmas because I've decided to keep her at Hogwarts for her final year. But there is going to be help for Draco from a slightly un-expected source. Not a Greengrass but more will become clear in the next couple of chapters.
Chapter 16 is in the queue for validation and the backlog last check was 3 days but I'm hoping that will go down so the update will be sooner.

Grr... stupid Draco! Of course he would screw it up... he better do a lot and buy a lot to earn her trust and affection again, though hopefully it will be funny. Heehee, at least now Hermione has an even better reason to clear the air with her sister and let her know precisely how she feels. I liked the stuff about her and her family, sweet and sad.

Author's Response: He's not completely stupid, and yes of course he'd screw it up at somepoint so my view may as well get it over and done with before it becomes completely irriversible. He's going to have a lot of explaining to do and a lot of sapping up to Hermione. But there's going to be help from an unexpected person with his relationship with Hermione which is going to add an extra little plot twist.
Hermione's not happy with him which is completely understandable. As to whether or not she and Daphne will ever clear the air is speculation because I have a couple of ideas as to how they would eventually get on with each other but that's like chapter 30 so a long way off.
I'm glad you liked it about the things like her family, I just put that in there because it was sweet and sad. It was more about her loss which I hadn't really looked at because I've been constantly looking at her present.
