Hello!

I am currently loving your new story, Infatuation, so last night, I hopped over to your author page to see what other great stories you had for me to read. And I wasn't disappointed--this is quite possibly one of the best stories I've read in a long time. :)

To go into specifics: I've read the Uglies series by Westerfield, but it's been so long that it was only after you mentioned them in an author's note that I began to see the influence that they've had on your story. I think that all the elements you've used complement the plot completely, and I love, love, love the way you've written Hogwarts in the Next Gen era. Everything is so dystopic and creepy, but it totally works with Al and Cassie's friendship in the beginning.

Probably my favorite part to date is the time at the Wotter camp. It's such a pastoral and earthy set up, and even though Cassie travelled there under false circumstances, it's really easy to see that she belongs there, rather than at Hogwarts. Finding out the truth about the Potters' and Ryan's disappearance made everything seem a lot clearer, which made for a fabulous revelation after you'd given me so many unanswered questions in so many chapters.

At this point, I'm really not sure how I feel about James. He's such a complex human... It's so weird, how all of your characters are so three-dimensional, but it's amazing that you've done this with the story. But about James: I think he's got a bit of a weird fixation on Cassie, the way he's always trying to be there without acting like he wants to be there, and how he offered to go on the trek to hgwarts with her. It's so strange to me, because she likes Al, and I'm kind of shipping Casbus, if you know what I mean, and James is kind of a mean-talking, intense, practical guy. You've managed to put me in a shipping conflict, because really, it was definitely him who got her the sunscreen, or at least I hope it is, because it was one of those things that made me think he actually cares, if only a little. But still, I'm not sure I want to support any Jassie, simply because of Casbus and... ARGGH!!! You've done such an amazing job with your characterization and description and all the emotion that I'd really just like to be there in the story, too.

I know it's probably nothing you haven't heard before, but I really would be super excited if you updated this story soon. Infatuation is really awesome, and so is Seer, but there are things about this story that just really echo and resonate in my mind. I hope that you're not at the place where you've lost inspiration for it or something, because it's too marvelous for me to forget about. If you find the time, pleasepleasepleaseplease post chapter 18. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

Oh the awkwardness and the tension, it makes me die a little inside while reading. I feel so bad for Cassie, with the exhaustion and the lack of sleep. And James manages to be annoyingly delightful. He's quite a contradictory character isn't he? I can't wait for Albus to return though, hopefully it'll be sometime soon.

Urgh. I just went back to check and realized that your last update was 7 months ago. That's a long long time. Far too long for me to be able to wait, I'll probably die of despair if I have to wait that long for chapter 18.
And the sad bit is that I just began reading this story today. I can say this much though, none of your chapters disappoint, no matter how long the wait may be. Which is why I solemnly swear to stick with this story until the very end. :')

First of all, I must mention the excellent characterization you have accomplished in this story. Cassie is likable but at times you have to get annoyed with her. It gets irritating if the protagonist is too likable or too perfect. You managed to get the right blend in Cassie which makes her more identifiable, like a real person.

Al and James, well, they're a bit hard to choose from. I like Al and his nice boy behaviour and I like James and his snark but if you ask me to pick one, I'll just hang my head and shut down. I'll be honest, James annoyed me in the beginning. I kept thinking how Al was the better of the two. But as Cassie worked him out bit by bit, I sort of grew to like him as well. In a way, you make the reader see through Cassie's eyes as the story progresses.

Another point would be the Golden trio. I have rarely seen any next gen writer portray the Golden Trio accurately. Harry always comes out as some sort of perfect idol which is not the case here and I'm glad. And the action. I don't think I can bear the fluff and romance in fics anymore. I'm so SO glad that there's a definite plot bunny running about here.

Its funny, but in someways this fic reminds me of the Hunger Games. The bit about living in the wilderness, the portkey instead of the tracer inserted into the arm, even the love triangle. James instead of Gale, Albus instead of Peeta. And how cassie will have to go back to where it all began, Hogwarts like Katniss had to go back to the capitol and the arena.

But despite that, this is probably one of the most original fan fiction stories I have read. It's brilliant how you came up with the whole twisted plot and I really wanted to review every chapter in detail but I was racing through the story the whole time and didn't want to stop reading. I just realized I have two chapters left to read so I stopped to take some time off, can't have it finishing too fast y'know?Maybe someday I'll re read and review the whole thing. But for now I'm just leaving you a long review.

This story is so amazing and you are marvelous please update soon! I know that there is supposed to be an albus and Cassie. Thing that I am supposed to sort of be feeling but to me it's just Cassie and James who by the way are so awesome! I feel that I can really connect with this story because my brother is missing right now and I can understand what Cassie went though with Ryan. My brother was traveling though and he hasn't contacted us in a few weeks which is strange because we normally talk to him about once a day. I'm not sure why I'm tellin you this, it's probably because I'm scared and you've really written a character I can connect with and somehow your story has kept me occupied and distracted when this has all been going on. My brother is most likely okay though (just like Ryan) chances are that he's run out of money and phone minutes. The point is though that thing have started looking better in my situation and I'm glad. And this story which has been a distraction for me latey is reall amazing. I really hope you keep updating (and that James and Cassie get together at some point).
But as far as the story goes, I really like albus. He's a good guy and he's sweet and cares about Cassie, but I think albus would be really really sweet with someother girl. Cassie and James I don't know what it is about them but they just fit! :) also a while back when hermione said "always the tone of surprise" it was really cute and spot on for hermione and Ron! You are an excellent author and I am going to comment on every chapter of this story from now on as well, I'm going to favorite you :) 10/10

AH so you know the feeling you get when you read a really good novel and all you can do is go OMG the whole time? This is what this story is doing to me, it is that incredible. Please update soon! I hate unfinished stories :( (I actually tend to avoid WIPs because I just want to read a story right through, but THIS is worth the agony of it being unfinished so PLEASE) great story!!!

Wow I love all the mystery going on here! The slow unravelling of the plot is very well set out, and well written too. I'm finding this story very unique from typical hpff, in the best possible way. Great job!! (woo next chapter here I come!)

I think the plot in this story is amazing! It's so different from all of the other next generation stories that i've read. Someone said that your characters are really well developed and i completely agree. You're other stories are really good as well. I finished the Sirius/debbie one, and started the sequel, i hope you put up more chapters soon.
