great chapter but why would they take away their wands
if the death eaters ever found them, then they will be completely defenseless
pretty short of a chapter but nevertheless, great

Author's Response: They take the wands away because they would be traceable if they had their wands.
If the death eaters ever found them, the ministry will be able to get there quickly, and they have everything up to repel them away anyway.

An interesting beginning. This should be interesting, I wonder exactly how much 'pretending' is going to happen before they realize exactly how much they aren't.
