30th January 2012:
That's one of my favorite Carrie Underwood songs! I think it really suits this story very well and adds to the overall feeling of grief and heartbreak. You did an excellent job describing Angelina's feelings in regards to Fred's death.

I love how they both were watching out for each other during the battle. But I can't help but wonder if Angelina will find fault in her or George for separating them, that maybe if they stuck together, nothing bad would have happened. :( I thought it was sweet that Fred took the time to find Lee to protect Angelina though - it's obvious that he cares very much for her. I loved that you added the idea of them being engaged. I think that makes Fred's death even more devastating to deal with.

Angelina's grief at the church was so palpable and it really wrenched at my heart. Incorporating the song into some of the dialogue was really clever too and tied the song into the story even more.

Wonderful job. I'm excited to read the other parts to see how this all plays out with Angelina and George.

Author's Response: Yes! I was in love with this song at the time I wrote this...and it really is one of my favorite of her songs to! I'm really glad you liked how it fit in and how the song flowed in with the story itself. I worked hard to get this story together, to ensure that the lyrics enhanced this story instead of leading the story forward. So I'm glad you liked that.

I also worked to get Fred and Angie's connection to run deeper than just words. I wanted to show that they cared, and wanted an opportunity to explore the grief of a character in that fashion. So I'm very glad you enjoyed this!

The second of the series is out, and I am actually thinking it may need to go to four parts, but it depends on which songs I find to used. But I do hope you enjoy the rest of it! This has been a fun series so far.

Thanks for the lovely review!

Aww...this was so, so heart-breaking. Sob. I've read stories about the Weasley family after Fred's death, but I've never read a fic about how Angelina coped with the loss, so this was really new for me. Also, I don't really read song-fics, but you wrote this so perfectly! The song fit in wonderfully; I loved it, really. :)

I think you deserve a 10/10 for characterisation! Angelina's pain was so descriptive and real, and written in such a believable way that I'm awed. :'( And I loved the fact that you invented that detail- that she was engaged to Fred- how heart-wrenching!

In short, I could really feel for her, and her pain, so full points on that! :D

However, a few mistakes I spotted-

Her breathe caught as she was suddenly still- should be breath.

looking down at the engagement ring, which felt heavier then normal.
heavier 'than'.

Other than that, this was a fab song-fic, and I loved, loved it! :D

Great job!
Vanya

Author's Response: Hello :)

I'm really happy you liked this story. I fell in love with this song when it first came out and after listening to it enough times over while reading different stories, I decided it was time to put this song into a story. And that lead to Angelina, who I absolutely love to write! And of course I had to put more of a connection between Angie and Fred...just enough to make the song fit just a little bit more.

I will take a look at those two spots. I haven't edited this in a while [or much at all], so I'll take a look at it. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

This almost made me cry. Like, my eyes were watering up and I kept on sniffing and my chest was rising and falling real fast, but I didn't cry. I believe you turned me into a real George/Angelina fan. Look foward to more stories soon!

Author's Response: Aw. This review made my day. I\\\'m sooo glad you liked it. And I was trying to get the emotional connection from the story out. I may end up rewriting this one, or leaving it. Also, i will post more George/Angelina. Thanks for the Review and for reading!

Awww thanks Grim! *hugs*

This was really good. I know this is probably a really weird thing to say, but I really need a sad story to cheer me up. I know that's weird but sad stories to cheer me up. Loved this one-shot! Great job!
