Review #1, by Groundswell An Order Meeting

3rd August 2009:
Wow. This is just... wow really.

I think this was so beautiful. It was well written in a way we don't see much in fanfiction. It was a joy to read your every word and the way you wrote every single thing - the way Lily looked at James, the way everything looked. Just fantastic.

One thing bugged me a little though. When they speak you put a whole conversation in one part. What about parting it a little? So it's easier to see who speaks. The long parts makes it a little hard.

I love the way you write Lily. The secret glance at James. She's obviously come to therm with her feelings and even though she might not like him to catch her looking at him, she obviously likes him. Sweet.

You've managed to create a very fitting atmosphere. The whole feeling of a summer night in some huge garden. It's all in my head :P

The way you've presented each character - perfect. You manage to pull it off without going into a long detailed description, but still giving us a clear picture of especially Lily and James. Well done.

All in all. I loved this. I think you've done a great job and I really hope you will update this soon - I can see it's been a long time, and I really want to read more!

Author's Response: I am honestly so sorry that I took so long to get back to you - it isn't for lack of wanting to, it's because everything got to me, and I simply never had time to sit down to give you a caliber of response that I felt I needed to give you.

Firstly, your review made me so happy when I saw it, I cannot tell you how much. You're the only one to have reviewed this story other than my friend and RonsGirlFriday, and to be honest, I really wasn't sure whether I wanted to update this story with the last part. And then you came along and reviewed, and I felt the spark for A Starry Night return. I really have no idea how you came to find this story, but I'm really glad you did, because I've actually been sporadically working on this, and I'm going to end up posting it, and it will all be because of you. So thanks for that, really! :D

Secondly, OH MY GOD. I can't believe /you/ of all people reviewed my story! I absolutely love your story 'Of Weird Conversations and Strange Lists,' when it was still in progress I used to read it at odd hours of the night on my dad's iTouch and laugh myself to sleep. :D I plan on actually reviewing every single chapter of awesomeness of yours in the future, hopefully the near future. The important thing is, your stories are amazing. I feel so honoured that you're reviewing me!

Thirdly, onto the real review, LOL: Thank you so much for all your praise. I'm so glad you were able to imagine the setting and really see what was going on in the garden - this actually all took place in one of my dreams! It was all there for me, and so I knew I wanted it to be all there for everyone else. Thanks for your compliments, it really does do good to get an ego boost every once in a while ;)

Yeah, once I reread it, I noticed that too! Thank you so much for pointing it out, I'll definitely go back sooner or later to fix it. Yay for constructive advice! :D

Thank you again for your compliments on Lily! Yeah, I watched Lily like that in the dream, and I just knew that she knew what she wanted already, she just didn't know how to go about getting it yet. In the next installment, the scene gets cute, and kind of random, but it's how I dreamt it happening, so I'm going to try to be true to that. ^^

I'm so happy that you /didn't/ think it was too long-winded, I thought that's why most people weren't reading it! I'm a sucker for details. :D I'm glad Lily and James are well-characterised, especially since this is a L/J fanfic, it's what I was aiming for.

Once again, thank you SO, SO, SO much for reviewing this. I will update soon, and you can be sure it'll be dedicated to epic you, for giving me the inspiration to continue. You made my day when I read this, and I'm so sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Thank you so much! :D

Despite this pairing being incredibly cliche, I think your idea was completely original. This was very well-written. Great job! Update soon!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, it was great to see your review! You really made me happy - I don't get many reviews for 'A Starry Night'.

I completely agree - James and Lily are really quite overdone, but I love them all the same. This idea actually came to me in a dream, it was really weird. xD

Thanks again for your review!

I really like it so far - I'll be watching out for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! It really means a lot.

I'll try to post it soon! It really sucks that I can't post two chapters at the same time, but I'll try to get it out soon - promise. *grins*

Author's Response: thank yous! :)
I'll end up posting more later, I promise - it's going to be more of a two-shot, when I first was aiming for it to be a one-shot, but whatever.

this is the one I dreamt about, remember?
