This is heartbreaking! Poor Petunia...I wish she had just come to her senses a little earlier, and had never married Vernon. I love the ending of this. It's perfect.

Lovely. Petunia did love Lily and care for Harry in your story. How sad to lose someone and not have a chance to settle old quarrels and resentments. I am glad Lily's ghost or whatever gave Petunia forgiveness.

Hello Lily,

I thought this was a fantastic song fic! I was actually listening to the song at the time I was reading it (like you suggested) I discovered that the song really does fit this fic!

One of my most favourite parts in this fic was the line, “I always knew you didn’t hate me Tuney! Just take good care of my son and remember you’ll be in my heart, always.” Its just as if Lily has been with Petunia in spirit ever since the night she died on Halloween!

This fic also shows somthing else about Petunia, it shows that she is not as mean as JKR makes her out to be!

Well done Lilly, another great fic from you I give you a 10/10!

Author's Response: Thanks, its good to know I achieved my goal of making her likable. Honestly, even before DH I'd always felt it must be a façade, those feelings she portrayed towards Lily are a normal part of growing up but as I say in the story its unlikely that she really hated her!
