Review #1, by datbenik513 The Thing With Feathers

28th April 2009:
Hilarious. How can someone who made it through several dangerous adventures and five exhaustive Hogwarts years be so thick and narrow-minded when it comes down to girls? Honestly, even Crabbe and Goyle beat him on that one...

But hey, we like Ron not because of his mental capabilities, right? There's a good reason why he hadn't be sorted into Ravenclaw :)

Finally, eventually he'd managed to put two and two together but it will take a full year before he gets the correct answer: FOUR.

The whole chapter is a very calm dialogue, with both boys very much in character, just like we know them. Well, Harry being slightly more patient with his friend than we are used to. And Ron, well, he's just Ron :)

A brilliant little piece. Thumbs up!

Author's Response: My dear Ron isn't all to great when it comes to women... I guess that's why I love him. ;) I'm really glad you enjoyed this little one-shot, Zoltan! Thank you so much for the kind review!

That was amazing!
BTW, do you think you could make me a banner?

Author's Response: I'm over on TDA so if you would like to have me or any other artist make you a banner, I'd suggest going over there. :) I'm glad you enjoyed the story!

This is so sweet! The first paragraph was kind of one long sentence, but that's completely irrelevant after reading this whole one-shot. I love how you used ED's poem, but twisted it into word that were believable coming from Ron and Harry. I can definitely see this scene happening somewhere in the 6th book. I love it!

Author's Response: I'm glad you thought the interpreted poem worked in Harry's and Ron's mouths, since I definitely couldn't have them just spouting poetry line for line. ; ) I'm happy you enjoyed! Thank you for reviewing!

really well done. A nice job incorporating the poem with the story. And Ron is totally Ron for this. Nicely done

Author's Response: I love writing Ron. : ) I'm really glad you enjoyed this little piece! I love the poem, and it was fun for me to write a fic inspired by it. Thank you so much for reviewing!

I adore that poem, I adore Ronmione and I adore this story! Truly beautiful. One of my favourite concepts in Ronmione through Harry and you wrote it wonderfully! I'm still grinning. :) x x x

Author's Response: Thank you! I love writing Ron/Hermione, and I have to agree that it's fun to throw Harry into the mix, as well. ; ) I really love that poem, too, and I'm very glad you liked my story and my take on it! Thank you so much for reviewing!

Review #7, by GriffinClaw The Thing With Feathers

21st April 2008:
I have a huge lit project due next Monday, and this poem is used in about 5 of my 117 definitions. Walt Whitman too! I'm so psyched! Anyway, onto the real review :)

I absolutely loved it. When I log in I'll favorite it. I love how naturally it flowed. The dialog was so good. Harry's aggravation and Ron's stubbornness were well placed. Harry's comment about Hermione having hope, and Ron's reaction to it... just perfect. I couldn't help but grin at the ending. I'm such a sucker for good missing moment fics and I can't wait for your next poem inspired fic. I'm happy now lol, you've brightened my mood.

Author's Response: It's a pretty popular one among teachers. I like it, too, and I ended up liking Dickinson even more when my middle school teacher told me most of her poems could be read to the Gilligan's Island theme song. ; )

Thanks for adding it to your favorites, and I'm very happy you liked it! I really like writing Ron and Harry together, it's one of my favorite things to write since they play off each other so well, in a fun or serious way.

I hope to do another poem inspired fic! I'm going to be on the lookout for one I'd like to use. Thank you for reviewing, CJ! I'm glad to have brightened your mood, but just so you know, you've also brightened mine! Thank you!

really cute and funny :D
I like how you portrayed Ron as an almost 4 year old child :P He really thinks like one of them doesn't he? :)

Author's Response: He can certainly act like a four year old at times. ; ) I'm really happy you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for reviewing!

HOW can Ron be so clueless? I swear he just infuriates me sometimes! This was so beautiful. I loved the bit with him picking at the threads, and Harry saying "Stop with the chair!" Just wonderful.

Author's Response: In my mind I just saw Ron going at it with the chair instead of focusing on what he SHOULD be. ; ) I'm glad you liked it, Taryn! And just what to do with Ron? Sometimes I think a slap over the head is in order. ; ) Thank you so much for reviewing!

"WOW!!" is all i can say right now!
Ohmygod, this is so GOOD!! Ron sounds like himself with his humor and well, so far, it is really awesome! i can see why Emily Dikinson's poem inspried you and it formed into a brilliant hpff. Her poems are great.
Can't wait for more!! XD keep updating!!!

Author's Response: Actually, this is a one-shot, but it goes along with my story 'A Run In With Ursa Major,' so I'd suggest checking that out if you'd like to read more. : )

I love this poem by Emily Dickinson and I wanted to put my own little spin on it, so I'm happy you liked that! Thank you so much for reviewing! I'm happy you enjoyed it! : )
