Hmmm... interesting :)

I liked it. Although I think it was a tad short, I thought it was a great way to start off a story. I think that it is always best to start with some mystery and danger. I only found a couple of spots where there should be a comma but other than that I didn't find any spelling mistakes. Your descriptions are very articulate and I think that this could really develop into something wonderful!

I know it's short, and I think I'll edit it to make it longer once I've finished the story! I'm glad you thought it was a good opening chapter, I was quite worried it was too ... uneventful. I will try and edit the mistakes out. :)
