I liked this. Very nicely written. I looked up the song that you used for it. I'll admit that I've never actually heard of the band, but I enjoyed the lyrics regardless. It fit your story well, and you did a good job at making it the skeleton of your story - reserving the meat of it for the actual story telling.

I think that the emotions and conflict were well portrayed and believable. An enjoyable read.
