I love the idea of the 'game', Lily convincing herself that he only cares about her as a prize, not a person. They both seem very in character, very believable, and I think it would be really great if you continued this! I know that it's just a one-shot but I think this could develop into a great story. What was in the note?
This will be going into my favourites - and I love your style of writing, so I'd be glad to check up on any other James/Lily stories if you write any!

Author's Response: I have (sort of) another Lily/James story. It's actually a fic from Sirius's POV. He falls in love with Lily, but obviously has to keep it from everyone. I'm glad you liked the fic.

As for the note, well, that's up to your imagination. What would James write? Lily never got to find out.

it was never a game. James loved Lily with all his heart and she lovely him too and they made the most gorgious baby: Harry. but any way it was good. i love it.

Author's Response: I know it wasn't a game. This is what I imagine that Lily could've thought at the end of her sixth year. She's unsure whether or not James is just messing with her, but at the end she starts to think it isn't just a game. Because it never was—you're right. But is it so far-fetched to believe that Lily thought it was a game? Thanks for liking it, and for the review!

I loved it, it was cute and short and it made alot of sense. It was really good how apart from looks there was no actual interaction between the pair.
