Your Granny seems like a mix of Pratchett's Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg - there's a bit toomuch cackling for granny's liking!! but its very good.
I love the use of the original meaning of Dumbledores to - bet that daffled a few people!

Wow, that was different. Really interesting, and it kept me going. So much history in a one shot, and you made the old woman seem like I've been reading about her since book one, great characterization.

It was just a little idea I had one day and had to write down, I'm glad you liked it!
I easily admit to being a bit of a Discworld fan (in which wizards have staffs) and the old woman is based on Pratchett's Granny Weatherwax, who is one of my favorite characters.

this was really good! i enjoyed reading it! i liked the bee magic, and how the woman called them dumbledores. and it was interesting to think that magic has become modern, and used to be different! great work! i like your style of writing very much!
