Awh that was so sweet! I loved how...human you made Narcissa and Lucius. Just for that moment they were not Death Eater and wife, but anxious parents...especially Lucius. And yet there were vestiges of his darker side, especially when he threatened the man behind the desk at St Mungos.

The way Lucius reacted was exactly how I pictured him: finding it very hard to just let the Healers get on with it without butting in and trying to do things himself. I also liked the bit when he saw Narcissa after waking up and immediately thought she was going to die because he had no knowledge of what childbirth was like.

The weakest part of the story, I felt, was the beginning. There was a lot of tension built up in the first paragraph because Narcissa was alone in the house...and then Lucius appeared right on cue. It might have been nice to expand it a bit so that Narcissa was on her own for longer, perhaps with her trying to contact St Mungos and being unable to or something.

Overall I thought this was a really sweet oneshot that showed the relationship between Lucius and Narcissa really well. And baby Draco at the end was so cute! :D

I'll try to think of something else! I'm a bit tied up right now though, because I'm working on a one-shot about their wedding.

Great story! I have a sort of fascination with the Malfoys and Professor McGonagall myself, so I love to read stories about them. I think Lucius and Narcissa's relationship can take on so many different tones, and you write this one particularly well. I don't like to repeat myself, but I can't think of anything to say other than you've written a fantastic story!
