Good for a first shot...
It was a little confusing, the italcs... And I'm not a fan of OC, but for a first shot, it was good! Keep writting, you'll just keep getting better!

Author's Response: Thanks, yeah I wasn't sure how to make the lyrics stand out on their own.

It definitely was interesting and now I have a whole other genre to play in. Thanks.

Oooh, What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts! I love that song! I've seen a H/G vid in YouTube using this song and it was fantastic! It's about Ginny dying too .. (sorry, a bit out of the topic) Anyway, great story! Congrats!

Author's Response: Thanks, I don't think I've seen that H/G video, I rarely write Hermione ginny just feels odd for me.

thanks for the review though!

Review #5, by Dragonette (thought I was logged in, but...) What hurts the most

I think that this is beautiful, although I don't EVER ship Draco/Hermione 'cept w/ S.A.B...even still. I love this song so much, and this plot really fit!

HOWEVER, I think that this fic could benefit a LOT from expansion. More details. A bit more set up, even if it's more towards the middle. More about the fight, maybe, or more about how Draco and HErmione got together. What is this confusion about the engagement party? I don't get it!

Author's Response: lol, yes I love my draco/hermione ships...I love reading them too...bad habit of mine.

I'm not sure if I will expand, probably clarify the engagement party bit, that was a last minute bunny, he hoped in the door when the party was full blast.

essentially Draco had asked hermione to marry him. He told his parents, and the gang were throwing the two of them a party.

It's a little problematic since this pulls from other stories I've written too, but not all of them...maybe I should put up a code.

So at the party they were celebrating and the death eaters burst in. Side note, Draco killed his parents who were there to watch and laugh.

Review #6, by Siofra What hurts the most

23rd January 2007:
This is great for your first song fic! I have not attempted one yet. I'm too chicken that I will mess it up. There are a few spelling errors and some places you could have flushed out a bit more, but nothing really serious. The only thing I wished you had worked on a little bit more was the personal emotions of each of them. You have a good overall feeling, but I would like to see what each of them were thinking and feeling on the inside.

What I really like in this song fic was that you did not focus entirely on the events that had past, and not entirely on what the people were feeling. If you do not have the balance between the two, it can get boring. You had the balance perfect! I rarely read song fics because I generally find them boring or poorly done. However, I am glad that I was able to read this one. Keep writing!

Author's Response: thanks so much for this review. I didn't really want to expand on emotion, mostly because when I've ever lost someone I feel numb. So I'm not sure what you could write for emotion.

I love that you thought I was balanced, it is what I'm going for, I'm not sure if I'll be able to find the spelling mistakes just yet, it tends to take me a while before I notice them.

thanks for the review Siofra!
