13th July 2011:
Even though it was quite morbid, violent, depressing, etc, this was a really apt portrayal of the horrors of war, death, and being the only one left. It honestly almost made me cry, and that's saying something. I applaude you on this one. It was very, very well done.

Review #4, by :( The End

that was so..beautiful... in a strange way
'The End.

One realizes something in the End. When the lights go out and time seems to stop. When everything starts to go in slow motion and people’s faces blot out to nothing but blobs. When voices meld together into meaningless noise. When the world starts to spin, a whirlpool of intermixed light and dark. When noise is blotted out entirely until all you can hear is your raspy breath, gradually slowing, growing more labored. When all you can hear is the beat of your heart in your ears, the whish of blood through your veins. When the world goes completely dark.

One realizes something in the End.

One realizes that it is not the End at all. That there is no End. That one always goes on in memory or lore. That the End is not the worst thing that can happen to a person. That the End is not something to be feared.

That the End is peaceful.

But that the End is so painful to the ones left behind. That perhaps it is better to have reached the End than to have been left behind when your friends, your family, everyone you love, has gone.

The End devours, leaves nothing behind, but at least it is painless.

The End. People fear it, although they don’t know why. It’s something about the mystery, the dark unknown, of it all. The complete and utter devoid of being. The lack…of anything.

The End. For most people, it’s the end of the line – all there is. The last stop before the great abyss.

The End. Of time, of life, of being. The End. Of hope, of dreams, of love. The End.

The End. We’ve always feared it. It’s always frightened us.

In the End, we always try to flee rather than face it. Like cowards. Like beggars.

Like fools.

One realizes something in the End. It is the End. But it’s also not. There’s nothing and something. It’s painless, yet it causes more pain than one can ever possibly imagine.

The End.

What does it mean?

The End.

What does it bring?'

Author's Response: ummm...thanks! it's not supposed to be germane or "fluffy" or anything, it's supposed to be different and dark...so yeah. :) thanks for the review...

that's the most morbid fanfic i've read yet!!!
but still really touching

Author's Response: Yes, well. I suppose it all depends on the types of fics you're used to reading...haha. But yes, I suppose this fic's a little more than a bit morbid, actually...

you killed EVERYone *stutters for a while* and u kiled Tonks and Lupin and Ron really saddly gr no freaken truce Im gathering a mob to come after you -.-" (not realy but dont tell anyone)
P.S I really give it a 8 for good wrighting but since u killed everyone...

Author's Response: Sorry. The point of the story was the loneliness and desperation and loss of hope of being the only one left - in order for this to get across to the audience, I had to kill everyone. If you don't like sad stories, just a warning: don't read any of my other stuff. It's the type of writing I do.

That was definitely a different "Final Battle" fic. And it is morbid, but in an oddly good way, if that is possible. This is good to read while listening to the OOTP soundtrack (Dementors in the Underpass, Hall of Prophecies, and Possesion). 10/10

Author's Response: Yay! Thank you. I have lots of other fics if you're interested *wink, wink*

Deep. With the final Harry Potter book only ten days away...it makes you really start thinking about what is going to happen. What occured in this fanfiction could very well happen. I don't want it to, but it could.
Your bit at the beginning about "the end"...it made a load of sense, and was very well written.

Hope you continue writing.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. Your opinion means a lot to me. I suppose we'll find out if I'm right in 10 days!

Bravo, Bravo! Excellente! Beautifully written and cascadingly descriptive. I love the fact that you used more writing in the story than people talking; it brings out the beauty in the power of literature. And proves that it is beautiful. Good job. i think you're an amazing author and by the way: It was not too morbid. I thought it was perfect. It explains everything so wonderfully. Of corse, I'm not sure if that's what I want to happen in 'The Deathly Hallows' but, your idea was good too ^_^

Like i said good job; 10/10! I'll be checking out your ther stories ; ) So, you'll definately be hearing from me again. -Rowan.

Author's Response: Yay! Hope you're not too disappointed by my other stories, as this is my best because it is my most recently written :D

Review #14, by Breakaway615 The End

1st May 2007:
WOW! Belle Heart was right--she's my friend from school, and she told me about this in Chorus class. I thought it sounded morbid then, but actually reading it... just... wow.

And that's a good wow and a bad wow. I mean, it was totally morbid and scary. I hate Ginny, by the way. I hated her before, I guess, but now I hate her a lot. But I loved how Harry thanked Ron as he died. That was very nice.

I loved this fanfiction to death. I really did. Even though I hated it too. I mean, I loved the whole thing so much. I loved how you kept switching to different views. Hermione's and Harry's and Ginny's and Neville's, I mean. That was pretty sweet.

So, yeah. This was really awesome. I loved it a lot. And it was long, but not in an overwhelming three-hundred word paragraph each, type thing. That was nice. I'm rambling, sorry. Anyways, excellent job. Like Belle Heart told me, it was a very morbid story. It's easy to hate. But at the same time, readers probably can't help but to love it.

Great job! Happy writing!

Author's Response: Thanks so much - and thanks to your friend for recommending my story to you! =) All my readers tend to have a love-hate reaction to my stories - and ironically I have love-hate relationships with almost everyone I know - so I guess I am just a love-hate type of person, haha!

Review #15, by Belle Heart The End

29th April 2007:
That was by far the most morbid thing I have ever read. I hated it so much. But...I loved it, too. Even afer you killed everyone but Ginny - in such cruel ways - I still loved it. I had shivers while I was reading it. It was so powerful, so intense. When Harry became inhabited by Voldemort's soul I had to bite down on my thumb from screaming! When Draco stabbed Hermione I almost cried! When Ron killed Harry I finally broke down, but then when I read Harry's reaction I calmed down. When Ginny killed Ron, her own brother, I lost it. I mean, how can someone do that?! Kill their own brother, their flesh and blood?! I understand she loved Harry with all her heart but to kill RON?! ...I just don't know what to say about that. I just can't believe Ginny was the only one left. So alone. No where to go. Nothing and no one to live for. It rather sad. I kind of liked the ending, though. Just the way you ended it...I don't know. I just liked it.

To basically sum this all up - great story. I loved it and I hated it. You kind of want that when you're reading a story. For me, anyway. I loved hating a story so much. It makes me love it even more. It makes the story better. It keeps you on the edge, you know?

So yes. Terrific story. Very-well written. I love your work.

Author's Response: Thank you. Your reaction was exactly what I was aiming for, so this review means so much more to me than all the other "I absolutely loved your story; your writing is beautifu!" reviews I normally get. =)

This was amazingly intense. There really isn't much more to say. It was brilliant, though I was surprised at what Ginny did in the end. Amazing stuff. The Draco/Hermione scene was my favorite. Wow. I feel very incoherent now.

Author's Response: Haha that's okay. And thanks so much!

*mmm... cookie* lol

Well anyways that was pretty good, even though you basically killed everyone, it was still good. Are there any videos for this story? I would love to see one. To bad I don't know how to make them because all the clips are coming together in my mind *sighs*

Why did you put Hermione and Ron as a pairing for this story, unless I missed it, I didn't see anything about them being together.

I liked the twist with Draco stabing Hermione, I think that was interesting between the two of them.

But ahh I can't believe Ginny killed Ron, it was sad!

Well I liked reading something different, thank you for sharing.

Author's Response: You're welcome =) There was no heavy Ron/Hermione pairing, I just insinuated that Ron liked Hermione.

hey! Nice oneshot! I was wondering how you got all the banners, 'cause I'd LOVE to have one for my fic... Could you help me ? =) And keep up the good stories!

Author's Response: Thanks! As for the banner just go to http://the-dark-arts.net/forums/ and enter in the needed info under HPFF requests saying you want a banner and an artist will choose to fulfill it...and BAM you have a banner! However, the story already needs to be posted when you request the banner.

Review #21, by EvanescentBeauty The End

2nd March 2007:

Since there were so many wonderfully morbid things about this story, I figured I would review as I went along:::;

1) OMG, that one lone tear of Harry’s was beautiful
2) I can’t believe that you had Draco kill Hermione. That was so tragic…I can’t even imagine that really happening in the books, I would DIE.
3) Are you like a MAJOR Herm/Draco shipper?
4) I can’t believe you killed Neville…he was so innocent…but then again, I kill Neville in MY story (please read!) so who am I to talk? (btw, if you read my story, it’s not up quite yet, still pending the first chappy)
5) These were the lines that made me cry::: She was the only one left alive.

She dropped to her knees, clasped Harry’s limp hand, and held it to her chest.

She stayed that way for a very long time.

No one came for her.
6) That made me almost burst out in tears, but I had to hold them in, because my parents were ther.e
7) Did you make up that quote by dumbledore?
8) I hated it with a deep and burning passion, and I loved it like I’ve never loved any story.

JUST LIKE YOUR OTHER STORY! FOR GODS SAKE WOMAN WRITE SOMETHING HAPPY!
*cries because of the tradgedy*
But also, I used to think that Harry was a horcrux too, but me and my dad were talking today, and he made a good point:::If he WERE a horcrux, why would voldemort be trying to kill him? your opinions, please

anyway, good story!!! great, in fact.

Author's Response: For my responses:

1) Thank you
2) I'm just sadistic like that.
3) I don't really ship them, but I think their fun - albeit 150% unbelievable
4) I guess I'm just cruel. Remind me to read your story when it's up; I will forget.
5) Thank you. I rather like those lines.
6) My writing tends to do that.
7) Yes.
8) I understand.

Thank you for the review. I'm thinking that Harry became a Horcrux when Voldemort tried to kill him somehow - haven't worked out the specifics. I don't think Voldemort knows Harry's a horcrux.

P.S. I can't write anything happy. I've tried and it always ends up sucky.

Review #23, by Infantasia The End

4th February 2007:
You're right. It was morbid...definitely morbid. But as it is, the Final Battle cannot be the FINAL battle if it wasn't morbid, so good job. It's plausible that Harry's the last Horcrux...I've thought about it for quite some time already. Still, it was a little freaky when Ginny killed her own brother. I can imagine Lucius killing Draco...Draco killing Hermione...but Ginny killing Ron? Freaky. But then again I've always imagined her to be a little on the dark side, so I'm not surprised. Ron's always been good and he always will be :) Either way, it was good. Depressing all the same, but good, just like your other stories. Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Haha thanks!

Review #24, by Aristocrat The End

25th January 2007:
I give up on you. First your coming, now you're going. I'm trying to be a good friend and keep up with everything you're writing and then ... Anyway, I think that you've gone a tad bit obsesive over Draco/Hermione, but other than that, this was fairly good. It was a little bit lengthy, and there was too much turn around with the killing. (I know it's a war, but something in it did not flow right) However, I did like how you end with the fact that what should kill you (the death of everyone you know, love, and cherish), doesn't actually do that, and on top of it, you are expected to go on and survive without a purpose. Oh, and, although I know Harry is really dull - Why is he going into battle with no speculations on what the final horcrux is?!?!?!?!?!??

Author's Response: Because he's an idiot. Haha you don't really have to keep up with my stories, I don't really care...I actually don't like this story all too much - I like the premise of it much more than I like how it really turned out. But heyyyy don't put down D/Hr ships, they're fun to write! hehe....I give up on me too, btw.

P.S. I got my nose pierced. Just a stud, but it's cute. =)
