This is awesome! I love it! You are very skilled at writing olde english. I'm not that good at it but you did it perfectly. Bravo!

Author's Response: LoL.. it was like writing a lot of mystical poetry that didn't rhyme... it's always so dramatic... I was actually laughing my head of writing it... which is why I found it odd when a few people told me they cried reading it... I was thrilled that I had brought out such strong emotion but I honestly hadn't expected it...

Oh... I liked it.. it made me actually feel for the characters. Nice work. And good job with the "thou thee thine" stuff, I would have never been able to handle it!

Author's Response: Yeah I thought i would lose my sense of cool with it as well... everything back then had to be spoken so poetically... i dont see how people could pull it off without laughing their heads off... :-p

17th July 2006:
Interesting. I don't think I've read anything from a portrait's POV before.

Author's Response: Thanks... i think...?? :-p I dont think I've read anything like it before either... until recently that is. I posted mine then started wondering how many fics really did have portrait POVs and actually found a few... so then i felt less original :-(

good story! is there gonna be more chapters if so update soon :)
i like how u wrote it so they spoke like ppl out of shaksepear, helps to make it seem like it happened a long time ago
well done as ussual!

Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, that was really what i was going for... I'm glad I did it that way, it just took some mind-bending on my part since that's not really something I speak on a daily basis lol... but its a really cool dialect I think... very poetic :-)

this is way cool! I had always imagined Gryffindor and Slytherin looking like you had described the other, but creative nonetheless. I also like how you make it from a portrait's POV. I had noticed that JK has Harry tell Ron and Hermione stuff, and the portraits sometimes respond. Can't wait for the next chp.

Author's Response: LoL... well i just went by their pictures on the wizard cards-- that come with chocolate frogs :-p

Brilliant! And your Old English is pretty good.

Author's Response: Thanks... I've only read Romeo & Juliet once so thats about the only exposure i've had to "Old English" I've had :-p The rest I just tried to be creative with since i had no idea what i was doing... once again... this story is out of my realm completely... in SO many more ways than one!! :-p

Wow! That was BRILLIANT! I can't wait for you to update this!! I loved the way you used the language.
10/10

Author's Response: Yeah... it only occurred to me about half way through that this was over 1000 years ago and they wouldn't talk like we would today... so that was tricky... I wanted to make this fic a series of one-shots but I wanted to see if everyone liked the first one before I got ahead of myself... I'm really glad you enjoyed it!!

Wow .. a medieval soap opera! Great writing .. can't wait to read more :)

Author's Response: lmbo... that's exactly what i said when i finished it and sent it to my beta... i didnt like it as much but she was ecstatic over it, so i thought it would be okay... i remembered later that she really loves soap operas tho, so now your review only confirms my fear...
