What if the character is reading the letter/entry out loud? Does that still count? ~writergirl8

This is really good. I noticed in the last paragraph, in the fourth sentence, you accidentally spelt 'to' as 'ti'. However, overall, it's brilliant.

What if you are writing a story composed of letters to someone, or of journal or diary entries? I forgot what kind of books those are called... But thank you, it helped a lot.

7th October 2007:
ok so i am writing a story and i want it to sort of be like a compilation of letters and diray/journal entries. to go into further detail it's a james/lily fic and i want all of it to be their entries in their journals as well as letters to people from home and notes in class. am i allowed to do that? without actually having the characters actions and speaking (james tiptoed from the quiet room) but just what they write? it won't actually say "dear diary" but sort of a narrative thing like it being written as if he's saying it. i don't know if i'm making any sense whatsoever to you. but i was reading through all the rules and terms of services and everything for AGES and i couldn't find anything that said i was specifically not allowed so i thought that i'd check to see.

thankyou for any help you give.

I would of loved it if I didn't know what happened to Tonks and Remus in Deathly Hallows.

I don't undersdtand why it can't be all diary entry form. As long as it still has plot, and dialogue, and everything...what's the difference? Many great books are written in diary form. As long as it's about Hogwarts/Harry Potter, and it's fiction, and it has a plot..I don't see what's so wrong about it.
