Yes, very short but very powerful which is rare in short stories.
In last line,
"But I would survive," reminded me of the song "I will Survive" by Donna Summer? Not entirely sure but that's what kept me smiling. Hermione is such girl power (remember the spice girls? lol) Great job on this short story, I enjoyed reading it.
Author's Response: Oh, I didn't even think of that song when I wrote it! :0 Now it'll be stuck on my mind for the rest of the day, though... lol. Spice girls all the way! All right, I'm just kidding. I used to love spice girls when I was five or something, but I'm not that much of a fan any more...

The way you write is good but the story doesn't make sense...Are Hermione and Ron already together? When did the story take place? etc...The idea was good and your style of writing is too. angel007
