You should be very proud of yourself because you owned that. You owned it. I know that I'm a little late, I mean, this won a Dobby ages ago, but congratulations anyway. That made me cry, and I don't cry easily. Thank you.

You've captured a child's view perfectly. Some of the lines had me pretty choked up, especially when the child called him Mr. Voldemort. :(
As sad as it was, this was one of my favorite pieces of fan fiction that I have ever read. It was truly original. Keep up the great work.

The part where you go "I put my head on Daddy’s chest to listen to the thump thump thump of his heart, but I couldn’t hear it anymore. Maybe his heart was sleeping."
Really breaks my heart! Especially "Maybe his heart was sleeping." touched me so much, this so emotional and wonderful! I love how we were in a child's perspective and she doesn't fully understand why Voldemort went after her family, because if it was within a teenager's pov. it would've made us all wonder why you didn't include why he hand come. Beautifully written! 10/10 definitely a true Dobby award!

wow... clever idea! Pretty sad, but still a great idea for a one shot! I also love how it's written from the perspective of this little kid (well i guess it is their letter.. duh).

When I read this I cried and cried and cried again. The true horror of this story combined with what little knowledge a young child has of the world is heart wrenching. That line "Maybe his heart was sleeping" made me cry even harder. And then there's the fact that she's too young to fully understand that her parents really aren't coming back. I lost someone close to me when I was young and you still carry that very very faint glimmer of hope that they're coming back. It's so faint that normally an individual doesn't realise it's there. It is only when you grow wiser that the devastating fact that they really are dead hits home. Absolutley amazing and it totally convinced me that it was written from a child's perspective. Well done :)

Oh, that's just so heartbreaking. I like that you did it from the POV of a little girl, instead of a teenager who'd be more able to understand. This way, we don't get sidetracked by descriptions of WHY Voldemort was there or what happened later, but instead we're really able to see the pain he caused. Great job!
