Review #8, by Serenity0047 Chapter 6: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

29th January 2007:
woah, Harry needs to learn how to control his magic! i understand your thoughts about the validation process. but that just motivates me to write more and follow the rules so that i'll become a trusted author. hope that happens soon! hope you update soon to, this story is one of my faves of my faves (if that makes sense).

Author's Response: I would love to become a trusted author... but who knows how long that'll take... I'm just a very impatient person when it comes to posting my stuff, especially when I have people begging for more... I may not be able to update for a while though unless I get my computer hooked back up to the net... (I'm posting this from a friend's laptop...)

ah o! first signs of Magic! maybe Harrys a fire elemental? good job on this story by the way!

Author's Response: Fire elemental eh? I dunno how well that would fit in with canon... I am trying to stick closely to canon as much as possible. But it's a definite sign of Harry's magic. We all know he's got some natural power.

Review #10, by Fall Season Chapter 6: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

27th January 2007:
Brillant again! I love the way you have Albus and Remus get excited in the toy store. I can so see them prancing through the aisles, singing on the top of their lungs, picking up little gifts for children. That's not too canon but it's great in my imagination.

I love Snape, too. I can see him hating the sun and everything to do with Christmas. I can also see him wanting to get the children books. Even though I don't think would buy gifts with any childern at all, but if he did, in this case you story, I can totally agree with books.

I love when you have Snape say he won't be able to deal with Harry. It would seem strange if Snape all of the sudden had all this patience and stuff. I'm glad you wrote about that.

I cannot wait to read more about this Harry and the fire thing. This story if so interesting. As soon as I saw you updated, I squealed and read as fast as I could.

Strange thing I just remembered. Harry's gloves grew because we know he is a wizard. But how did Dudley's shoes grow? Did Harry do that.. or Dudley? Ah the suspense! I can't handle it.

As always, I loved Harry again. And as you replyed to my last review, I wish I could care for Harry, also. But your Petinua is doing a fine job. I just wish I could maybe be a baby sitter, wouldn't mind being a sister either.

Please update ASAP! Loved this chapter and I canot wait for the next one!

Fall Season

Author's Response: I don't think Severus Snape could have handled being in that toy store with the other two all giddy and such, so he tried to counter all the toys and whatnot with something useful. (We know that in canon he does not like it when students do not read their books before school starts.) So why not give Harry and Dudley the gift of reading? (Perhaps they'll make a teacher very happy someday...) I'm glad you squealed and read as fast as you could, but believe me when I say that it's because of that sort of reaction that I hate the validation process here... Anyway as for the Gloves and the boots, you'll just have to keep reading to find out...

Anyway, you know, I'm in need of a few new characters... perhaps you could be a neighbor or something? Email me at and perhaps we can work something out...

I'll update probably later today... Who knows how long validation will take though...

Review #11, by Marauders Girl Frustration

10th January 2007:
Oh man.. this story really gets to me.. I love it because I have a cousin who's autistic and it really does hit home because often I was the one who took care of him.. and I remember helping him learn to read (yes Little Red Hen.. though his favorite was Where the Wild Things Are) .. I think it's an interesting vantage point and I've never seen a story like this before! I have to go to bed now but I'll start on it again tomorrow :)

Author's Response: You wouldn't believe how many other readers have informed me of this story hitting so close to home. I'm so glad you helped your cousin. The little Red Hen is a great children's book and the reason I picked it was because when I was in the first grade, I was one of a few other students chosen to come and read a book to the Principal. I'm not sure if this was because of my having been in speech (While I could read just fine, I had a speech delay/disability which still haunts me today (as in I often find myself saying the words wrong or whatnot)) or if it was because I was one of the few first graders that could read already. I also love Where the Wild Things Are. It's just another one of those great children's books.

Review #12, by Fall Season Panic, Fear, and Worry

19th November 2006:
Yeah! Another chapter! You have no idea how happy I am! I was so excited to read this chapter that I keep skipping parts because I was reading so fast =D Well, anyways, as always this chapter was SUPERB! You're such a good writer and you make me feel as if I'm actually there. You do a great good with Petunia (if she actually was that nice), I believe should would act just as you have her act. And as always, I love Harry! He's so cute and thoughtful and caring and loving. And he's ADORABLE! I want to scoop him up and smother him with hugs! Please keep up the good work and update soon!!

Author's Response: I want to scoop him up and raise him as my own, but alas, Petunia seems to be doing a fine job. In the fic anyway. Next few chapters will be posted soon!

7th September 2006:
i'm am in love with this story! and in love with harry! i just want to grab him and hug him until there isn't a breath left in his little body! anyways, i'd want to do that in any story really! ha ha! ok, on with the review!
what can i say? i love it! the plot is so original, but i've told you that before. is snape interested in petunia? he kissed her hand! so romantic! kind of. well, i really enjoy this story and i can't wait to read some more!

Author's Response: I thought it might be best if Severus Snape pretended to be a gentleman for the time being. Although I suppose that over time, I could allow a bit of romance for him... that is, if he can manage to not let certain things keep him from helping Harry...

Review #18, by Serenity0047  Shocking Truths

12th August 2006:
very good! i can't wait to read more.
question: are you going to give Harry some kind of trait or talent that he excels at? i know you said he really enjoys art, but i'm wondering if he is going to excel at anything. like really astound some people with that talent/trait. a relative of my boyfriend is mentally handicapped as well, but he's really really good with remembering dates. like what date a record came out, or what date he went to a baseball game ten years ago, stuff like that. i would have thought you would have written Harry to be like, really exceptional at math or something. i've just heard of others like that being slow with every other aspect, but numbers just come so naturally to them. i'm not an expert or anything though. just a thought.
ok, this is getting really long. can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Well, everybody has their subject that they do best in. Remember, I want to keep this story as close to canon as Harry's mind will allow. Perhaps you should reread the already existant chapters and see if there's anything that he already does very well at. I know I've already put something in...

12th August 2006:
well, i think the man in black is Snape. not sure about the man in brown. i think they are going to america. but i could be way off.
awesome job! i really like this. this plot is very original! i guess it kinda makes more sense than how it is in the books. it seems more likely that Harry could be left with some mental handicap rather than a scar. that reminds me, does he have the scar in this story? did i miss you writing about that in an earlier chapter?
i also really liked the part about Harry writing about the dream he had. it was just enough to let you know that something really exciting is going to be happening.

Author's Response: Hmm... I guess I did sorta forget to mention Harry's scar... Yes he still has it, but it's hidden under his hair most of the time... except perhaps when it's very windy. Don't worry, I'll mention it sometime...

i felt so bad for him when you described how he felt when he would try to read. so sad! and the math thing, i'm the same way with math, i hate math. good job so far, especially seeing as how you were really sleepy! :)

Author's Response: I too share a hate for math. I'm okay at it, but I can be slow at it too. Especially when I'm being pressured to be fast at it... And multiplication, geometry, and algebra are my kryptonite...

Review #23, by Slywolf9 Frustration

2nd January 2006:
This is one of the most interesting stories I have encountered. I am enraptured in this world you have created, and I thoroughly enjoyed the twisted comedy at the end of this chapter. In fact-if you don't mind me saying so, it sort of reminds me of my own style, muhaha, but yours is very fantastic, and probably more advanced than my own. This story has a good heart to it, and I am looking forward to more chapters, so this story is now a favorite. Happy New Year. -Sly :]

Author's Response: Thank You for saying that. It's a writers dream to have their readers totally enraptured into their story. And the twisted comedy... Well, hopefully there is more to come... I'm not much of a comedy writer... I should try reading someo f your stuff. Anyway you can thank my dreams for this story... Chapter 3 will be posted soon...

wow - the story is pretty different and i love the detail you have gone into... please update soon xx

Author's Response: I would update more often, but I'm very impatient... meaning I really don't have the patience to wait several days for a chapter to be validated. I was really hoping that this site would be a bit faster at getting chapters validated... but it seems that it isn't... which is a downpoint.

I thank you for your review. Not many fanfiction writers are able to come up with something as different as this... after all, even I have fallen into the same old ideas before.
