So what exactly is the relation between the Elysian and English? I haven't quite got that.
There's a lot of opprotunity in this idea. Go for it.

If only this were real...great story. However, I must say one thing: though this is fictional, the manner in which the soldier is addressing his superiors is not accurate. Superior officers are addressed by rank, not "sir". I'll give an example: “Don’t worry, sir, I’ll protect them.” It should be "“Don’t worry, General, I’ll protect them.” I'm in the Army, just so you know. Other than that, great story and originality. I want to read more-post ASAP.
