Poor Remus! He really sucks at life >< You're story's so good and the way you described things really painted a vivid picture in my head, I felt as though I could really picture what was happening. I love a writer who can give me good details. Keep up the excilent work ^_^

Author's Response: That's just fantastic! I haven't really written with him much before and to have a story with him as the lone, main character was a huge step for me- You have no idea how relieved I am to hear that it turned out okay. Thank you so much!

Review #4, by Urvi The Broken Road Home

2nd September 2005:
Wow, you're an amazing writer. The story was somewhat mysterious because you didn't use any dialogue and I'm glad for that. I really don't know what else to say or criticize. The story was really touching. Nice job on it.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Iike I've said to the others this is the first fic where I actually did no dialogue whatsoever and although I've read a few fics before with no dialogue I wasn't too sure how this would turn out without it but I'm very happy to hear that you liked it ;-)

Review #5, by misshermione The Broken Road Home

2nd September 2005:
this is hermionegirl from the thread... This was a fantastic story. The imagery was amazing and the details were inserted very well. Remus' thoughts were very well portrayed and this is one of the best i have seen. The decriptions were a bit legnthy, but they still worked out in the end. Keep it up!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yes, I know they were quite drawn out but to some degree that was my aim so that isn't too bad. Wow, do you really think so? The only times I've really written Remus was in this one-shot and in my other one, well where the story had more than a couple of lines of his speech so it's a relief to hear that he wasn't too out of canon or macho. ^_^ Kate

Review #6, by Marvolo The Broken Road Home

2nd September 2005:
Thank you so much for recommending it--it was amazing. Your imagery, symbolism, and abundantly scattered details were perfect. I was so drawn into the story and Remus' world as I read, largely due to the wonderously subtle thoughts and setting. The implied relationships fit perfectly within the confines of your one-shot. This is a truly inspirational story, following a perfect model of description and writing that contains a tremendous amount of feeling, and I feel so honored to be exposed to something so touching. Although there were a few mistakes, and the lengthy descriptions were sometimes awkward, they did not change the tone of the story. I was, as you can tell, extremely drawn in. This is a side of the series not commonly explored, and I admire your bravery in standing a character alone, apart. The entire piece was fantastic, and I look forward to reading more of your writing!

Author's Response: Honoured? Touching? Actually, your review gives me fuzzy feelings again inside my tummy. It's wonderful to hear that you liked the attention to detail, I did really want to write a story that focused on things like that rather than trashy dialogue and a huge mixture of characters and relationships so I thought that highlighting one, Remus specifically might be the best thing to try out. Thank you so much for the fantastic review though Laura, it's nice not to get an SSF type one for once ;-) Kate

Review #7, by Violet Gryfindor The Broken Road Home

31st August 2005:
Oh wow, this is beautiful! It's so brilliantly written, portraying Remus' emotions in such an intense and heartbreaking way. I really loved the beginning, where you described the setting - it was very poetic and easy to imagine in my mind. It's so sad to read about Remus' memories of all that he has lost and you did a wonderful job of it. Bravo! =)

Author's Response: I really wanted to write something with little to no dialogue just to accentuate his emotions and the scenery around him so it's great to hear that it worked out okay. Thank you so much and it's just terrific to hear that you enjoyed it. Kate
