Review #2, by Harry4Ever Escaping the Dursley's

19th August 2005:
WOW! That was excellent! Your writing has fluidity and substance that surpasses most of the work I've read...mine pales in comparison, I'm sure :) Now just a couple of technical things...There are already 6 Weasley sons...Harry would have been the 7th...don't worry...mistakes are easily made :) Also, I think there are a couple of spelling mistakes that are near the beginning you may want to look over. You had..."...Fred and George hadn't bobby-trapped the package" instead of "booby-trapped"...I'm sure people will forgive you for the mistake! I know I will! The Spinner was a wonderful gift from Fred and atypical of most of the gifts they gave Harry are practical jokes...something practical instead was ingenious! Bravo! I also liked the way you wrote Lily's almost brought me to tears with the emotion and the explanation as to why she had to die! I'm anxious to see if you write a sequel to this...maybe what happens at the Burrow and the family reunion with Percy...??? If you do...please let me know! I'd love to read it. You should definitely think about publishing an original work...I would even buy your book! I LOVE TO READ!!!! :) If you have some time...I would love for you to read any of my stories (I have 3 on the go) and leave me some brutally honest reviews. I'll appreciate any criticism...constructive or otherwise. For me, it is quite refreshing to see such high-calibre storytelling like yours on this site. I'm honoured to have found this story...and I enjoyed it immensely! Keep up the awesome writing! :)

Author's Response: I'm amazed that someone liked my writing so much. Sorry for the technical errors. I wanted to enter this in the Writer's Duel, but I was leaving for most of the summer around the time the stories were due. So, I fervidly wrote this piece and had a lot of fun with it. I'm glad you liked the Spinner. I just wanted to have something that tied into the plot and was easily manipulated to make my writing seem elegant with colorful details. I might write a sequel to this story; I really hadn't thought about that until you mentioned it. I'm flattered that you think I'm good enough to publish an original work. Being an accomplished writer is one of my dreams in life, even though it's just been a fantasy for me. I hope to persue it more seriously soon. I have to graduate from high school first, though. I'll make sure to read some of your stories; I have other stories that you might want to read as well. I'm elated that you so enjoyed my writing, if only I had won that Writer's Duel... Thanks for the awesome review; it really made my day.
