Innovative story. Makes sense something like that would happen to Dudley too.

Review #2, by Mrs Insane One Alone in Shadows

20th June 2007:
I thought this piece was well written and very deep. There is a bit of confusion about what is in the article and what is a sort of half flash back to what Dudley was experiencing or dreaming about. It also seemed to cut off and end rather abruptly.

I did enjoy the story though and I look forward to reading some of your other stories when I have the time! - Jenn

Oooh, Dudley a punk rocker? Interesting and inspired twist - I never would have thought! As always, I wish there was more to this, I feel a little bit like i'm left hanging... whodunnit??!! Otherwise, nice and dark, like a murder should be, I suppose. And the depiction of Harry's life as an adult is great - I really had never thought about an all-out war occuring, and the aftermath for Harry. So on a side note, it'd be great if there were more to Harry's current situation, or just more... gah, that's all I ever want, more more more.... Enough of this long post, great work as usual, Carl :D

wow great writing... it was very dark and edgy anyway great job...

Author's Response: Thank you. This was written between 2-4 am one night, listening to a particularly dark, edgy symphony by Strauss.

It was a good story Carl. Very dark and edgy. Harrys reaction to the news of his cousins death was as I expected it would be. Distant and almost nonchalant. Welcome back!

Review #6, by Molly Alone in Shadows

Wow, I definitely haven't seen you write anything that dark before. You did a great job of conveying the different emotions - Harry's weariness, Dudley's terror. It's interesting to wonder what would happen to the obviously screwed-up Dudley. Very gloomy :( but also very well-written.

Review #7, by Violet Gryfindor Alone in Shadows

11th June 2005:
Wow. This was such a strange mixture of humour and tragedy that I don't know what to say. It's very well written and I really like how you've set up adult Harry and Dudley (picturing Dudley as a druggie punk rocker makes me laugh). The part showing what Dudley saw was really dramatic and was amazingly set off by Harry's indifference. You've done a great job on this, Carl. (yay, first reviewer!)

Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing. I really Dudley slipping into some of the evils of this world once he has access to them (he's already a victem of gluttony, if you count that), so portraying him that way didn't seem like such a big stretch. I'm glad you liked it.
