Ron is such a drama queen, yes he doesn't like Snape much but surely he can understand that Harry is happier than he had been in a good long while. Ginny and Hermione are accepting and relaxed about it it's nice to see that you've kept everybody in canon. A lovely dramatic chapter, I loved it. xx

i've read this story before...about a year ago....and somehow i like it better the second time around. you really are a wonderful author and i hope you continue to write more stories that are just as wonderful!

Author's Response: I think it should read better the second time. I use a lot of seemingly innocent details throughout that turn out to be meaningful later. The only chance to catch most of them is on the second time through. That and it may have been cleaned up more since you last read it.

Pretty good, I enjoyed seeing Filch nervous for once. Can't imagine he'd keep his job for long if Harry explained his little threats to Snape. I think Ron came up with the right person a little too fast. He's not taking potions this year, so Snape probably would not (until now) be high on his hate list. Other than that it was particulary brilliant. Even more so than usual. @->--

Ron can be such an explosive git sometimes that it's no wonder Harry keeps things bottled up inside around him. He wants so much to be friends with his first real friend that it's so sad. I do hope you allow Ron to grow past it, though. No one that's been through what they've been through together could be that thick, could they? I haven't left reviews all the way but I've been reading your story continually for the past two days. It's very good and I love your slow style. Another amazing chapter! Lot of updates too! which is great! :) Love where the story is going too, even if Ron is acting like a jerk about the adoption, I think he'll come round sooner or later. Ginny was a bit suprising in this chapter, which is refreshing and Dumbledore - I think the inevitable must be coming soon, he's obviously setting his affairs in order and that can only mean one thing. Wow, another chapter today! I'm terribly annoyed with Ron, though pleased with Ginny. I hope Harry makes more near misses with the 'Dad' thing. :)

Author's Response: I'll confess early that I imagine in a universe where voldemort gets knocked off a year early is one where Ron doesn't mature as much as he would otherwise. A theme I'll be sticking with, but just as a slight taint to his personality.
