=( poor Lily. Obviously James is having a little difficulty in distancing himself from her. I know this episode is just a lapse in his facade, but it's still a little life-line for James/Lily shippers during the course of these chapters which mark a rocky time between them. I remember reading this and wondering whether Kat fancied James and that was why she was acting so surly, but I wasn't sure until that more recent chapter when she actually tells Lily she did. I like that there are things you plant during the story but don't completely forget about, so that there are strands which run through and underlie the main storyline to give the story some bulk and make it more interesting.
