She wasn't sure if being in 1976 and being his friend, or whatever she was turning into, would be enough, so she had come up with a backup plan. -- This is perfect. Not only because I was wondering this exact thing two chapters ago, but also because it is so like Hermione to come up with a backup plan for use 22 years in the future.

Hermione's antivenin project sounds really cool and if anyone can make it, she can. Plus with Snape's help they will be the most unbeatable potions team ever. Her request from Slughorn was a bit remeniscent of Tom Riddle asking for help, as she herself noted... the key difference being that Tom only wanted what he wanted for personal gain, and Hermione is trying to save someone's life.

You write Dumbledore really well, btw. He's a character I've always found so difficult to write, and you have his mannerisms down so well. Also, on the topic of dear old Dumbles, can I ask Dumbledore something? If he sent someone back in time to save Snape, why didn't he send anyone back in time to save James and Lily? How does he decide whose life is worth saving? After all, Voldemort killed a lot of other people, Muggles, muggle-borns, etc who died unnecessarily too.

(I don't think I'm supposed to think about this that much :P But Time-travel stories always make me think SO much.)

Last but not least, I can't believe you ended the chapter THERE. :P

I'm sooo glad I found this story! I've been looking for a good read for such a long time now and I absolutely love what you've written so far! I really appreciate how quickly you update as well :) I know it would probably be really complicated, and I never thought I'd say this, but I really want them to end up together

Author's Response: Oh wow thank you so much!! I'm glad you found this story, too! To be honest, I wasn't always the best at updating this quickly. I had a lot of RL stuff going on. But my New Year's resolution this year was to finish this story, so I'm trying to get at least 2 updates a month up until it's finished. So far I'm doing alright there. :)

But thank you so much for reading and reviewing!! I'm thrilled that you're enjoying the story, and I hope that you continue to as it goes along. ♥

So I'm really loving the internal conflict for Hermione in this chapter. It must be really difficult for her so I totally feel for her in a very real way. The story is really gaining speed at the moment. It's been really great pacing not too quickly either which I find very believeable for the characters you've chosen to work with. I can't really get over how good the portryal of severus is. He is such a complex character I really believe that you're doing him justice. I know that this going to be just a masterpiece when it's complete.

I feel like this chapter is really setting up what's going to happen in the next phase of the story with the conversation with slughorn (which love because the characterization for him so just so spot on!). I'm very excited to see where this is heading because obviously somewhere exciting! All the stuff with the potion is awesome, I love how well you've fixed elements of Canon into the story. It's little details like this that really set apart great writers from good writers.

I have my eyes firmly peeled for a new chapter of this especially with that cliff hanger!!

Btw. CTF :)

Author's Response: You are the absolute sweetest person on the planet! Yeah there was no way I wouldn't have been able to do a slow burn with Hermione and Severus. A masterpiece?? You're way too kind! *squish*

Yeah we're getting into the next act of the story here. It'll be focusing more on the potion making and actual attempts to save Severus, rather than their relationship (yet that will still be part of it, too). I'm excited to get into the second half of this, but also sad, because it is the second half. If that makes sense.

I'm super thrilled that you're enjoying the story and I hope that you end up liking where it goes from here. :)

Thanks for reading and reviewing!! ♥
