I WANT TO SCREAM NOVA IS SO DUMB. Albus is literally making it so clear that he's into her like he's literally centimetres away from her face ready to kiss her and she's like nah he's not interested like girlie what more of a sign do you need like come on get it together.

It sucks seeing the friendships fall apart like this. Like I understand that Cass is trying to protect Nala but at the same time Nala is allowed to make her own decisions and mistakes. And I know that Cass is struggling because of what Sophie said to her but I feel like her friends would've been more helpful to her if she had actually bothered to say anything to them and what she need weed from them in terms of support.

"BECAUSE I AM CURRENTLY BLEEDING THE LINING OF MY FCKING UTERUS OUT BETWEEN MY FCKING LEGS AND I WANT TO EAT THE ENTIRETY OF THE FCKING GREAT HALL TO BE HONEST, SO IF YOU DON'T FCKING SHUT UP, I'LL FCKING EAT YOU ALONG WITH IT."

Ingenious! This fcking sentence had me spitting out tea!

Author's Response: Haha, I'm always happy to waste tea ;)

Review #3, by PaulaTheProkaryote

29th June 2016:
I'd like to pretend I just now read this chapter but TBH I read it like the day you posted it and then reread it like five more times. I had to come up with coherent sentences before I could write a review.

I loved Nova and Al's little romp around the night. All of the innuendo and racing hearts and almost kisses. Al's a cruel, cruel man. I love her character so much. She's such a good friend to everyone in her dormitory, really. Between how much she's concerned about Nala. Albus sure does know an awful lot about who is doing what where with whom. Ears to the ground? That's an insanse amount of information.

I really like that we got a bit of Nova's background in this chapter. I also like the Hufflepuff dormitory situation because I found it remarkably prejudice that girls could go into guys but not the other way around. I get why it's there, but it just seemed ridiculous to me.

The part that I've been rereading incessantly is Dahlia's rant. I want it tattooed on me or something equally crazy. It gives me life. She is my spirit animal.

Due to *ahem* language I can't copy it in here but please know that my absolute favorite line of the entire chapter was when Dahlia threatened to eat the entire Great Hall and the Gryffindor with it. I couldn't stop laughing and still can't.

I'm very worried for the relationship of Cass and Nala. I really love the dynamics of Dormitory 2.6A and I really hate that something as stupid as a boy will be that factor that drives such a wedge between them. Poor Nova (and the rest of the girls) for being stuck in between. Will all the girls play neutral through the fight? Will one of the girls leave the dorm? Will all the girls take sides? I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!

As for your a/n, thank you for the shout out! I would be lost in life without your beautiful story. I do love me some Novus, but I really love the girls so much more!

Author's Response: Since this is criminally late, I think we're even on the reading-multiple-times-before-doing-anything bit lol. But thank you for reviewing anyway!

Al is both a cruel man and a kind one. Sigh. He definitely stepped it up with the flirting, but Nova didn't exactly give him the green light when she looked at him like he was about to stab her instead of kiss her. Cruel and kind, kind and cruel.

Maybe Al just creeps around the Slytherin common room, waiting for anyone to mention the word "sex" and that's REALLY how he knows. You never do know.

I like writing Nova as someone who is seen to be unapproachable and probably a little cold too, but is actually the mum of the group. In other news, it has just occurred to me that Nova Hale is the mum of the group.

I know right about the dormitories!!! In essence, I can sort of understand why the repulsion systems would be in place, but at the same time, it's like "hello, sexism. Boys are after one thing at all costs." That's why I had Helga Hufflepuff allow both sexes in each other's areas, but also have a protection system in place just in case something did go awry.

It's official. We are all going to live through Dahlia Darzi. But no, I'm really glad you liked that line! It was the one that came easiest to me... does that suggest something about me? Idk.

YOU WILL FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE GIRLS V SOON. IT'S BOTH BAD AND GOOD. SORT OF. I DON'T REALLY KNOW ANYMORE, MAN.

Thank you for the review and sorry for my incoherent reply!

How can I NOT squee over Novus here???

Honestly I LOVE how you write him through Nova's eyes. And the way you tease us with those moments that are oh-so-close!

And you've expanded canon so much, with the Hufflepuff couch, and the rules for boys-entering-the-girls-dorm thingie! Now I can't imagine the Hufflepuff common room WITHOUT that ghastly yellow couch!

And Dahlia, oh my god! She had me in splits. I could just imagine Alia Bhatt's expressions when the scene was going on, and she was yelling at that second year, it was too precious!

I don't really think Cass is all that wrong about Xanthe, but if Nala isn't ready to see sense, I doubt there's much she can do except wait to catch her when she falls. Cass' reaction seemed just perfect you know. I can totally imagine something like this happening to my 16-year olf self!! Will Psycho Sophia make an appearance again?

Ooh I do seem to like the lovely balance you're forming between exploring Novus, and exploring the dynamics between the girls. Do you plan on doing a chapter from Albus' PoV. I'd kinda love to see that, but it probabl would be a better idea to keep teasing us with Nova's PoV for a while.

Loved this chapter, and Awww, thank you somuch for the dedication! I can't wait for the next chapter. Too soon to start badgering you about it?

Love
Ysh

Author's Response: I AM A PATHETIC PIECE OF WASTE WHO CANNOT RESPOND TO REVIEWS, I AM SO SORRY *SOBS VIOLENTLY* I DON'T KNOW WHY I'M LIKE THIS, I DESERVE TO BE IN CHAINS.

Anyways

I am pretty sure that I thought at least once, "How do I frustrate Ysh by giving her Novus but not really *giving* her Novus?" and voila, this scene was born. Honestly, I love that you love the way I write him because it genuinely makes it all worth it.

Oh, thank you for noting the canon expansion...thingies! I feel like things like that are really what make places, you know? Before the old building for my high school was demolished, all of the science tables were completely COVERED in signatures and stupid messages, so I feel like Hufflepuff (which I imagine to be a very tight-knit community) would have something like the Signed Sofa. And of course, it would be horrendous.

Writing Dahlia yelling at people gives me life.

And c'mon, we've all thought her words before. Let's just live through her. :P

Xanthe. Xanthe, Xanthe, Xanthe.

That is all I have to say at the moment. You will soon - and I mean v soon - find out about part of his true nature.

If you have read Chapter 7, you'll see that Psycho Sophie sort of/half makes an appearance. She's more of a catalyst than a truly important character in this particular narrative.

Alright. Al's POV. This is a very hesitant plan - as in so hesitant that I'm only considering it at the moment and haven't planned it at all, other than idle daydreams about what scenes *could* be in it - but I *might* be doing a sequel that focuses on Novus and is from Al's POV. If it happens, we'll get to see Al's feelings in some of the scenes, how the girls seem from an external viewpoint, how Nova sees from another viewpoint, and some of Al's roommates too. That's only a maybe, though. :)

Thank you for the lovely review. Oh, and you so deserved that dedication!

I like Nova more and more with every chapter!! And her and Al are the CUTEST! I feel like the drama is really starting now and I'm super excited for the next chapter! x

Author's Response: Hello again :)

You know what, I've been meaning to dedicate a chapter to you because I'm pretty sure you've reviewed nearly every single one and it's just so lovely to see your name whenever I upload a new chapter. It always slips my mind in the editing process though! :(

Yay, another person who likes Nova! It's really great to see that people are actually connecting with her. As for her and Al, well, putting them in these situations is just what I do ;)

Thank you for the review!

Review #6, by Dumbledore

20th June 2016:
Hey!
I'm glad that chapter 6 is finally up! I really liked it, and I absolutely love the dinamic between these girls.
I really hope Albus and Nova become a couple or something like that! They just seem so cute together.
As for the last part, I think Cass' overeacted but maybe we'll undertsand better why she reacted this way later (or maybe it's just part of her personality).
Nova is really my favourite character, but I Have to say Dahlia is also brilliant!

Author's Response: Hey!

Aw, thank you so much, I'm glad you liked the chapter and the relationship between the girls. It means a lot to me. There's something in the works between Albus and Nova that'll be coming along - nothing too grand, but definitely something.

Cass DEFINITELY did overreact on her part, but it's due to a combination of multiple things that will become apparent in the next couple of chapters. She wouldn't just attack her best friend for daring to snog her cousin :)

Nova's your favourite? Oh, that's really great to hear! And yes, Dahlia really is something haha

Thanks for the lovely review!
