Really Tom? You think showing off was going to get you the reaction? At a time like this? He really doesn't seem to understand that someone she cares about is petrified. She's not swooning over you right this second. I knew it! I knew it! Of course they adopted! They loved him like their own though. I think her uncle and aunt have the bit of humanity too. Maybe it's just Hero's parents that are the messed up ones. Everyone else has that little bit and that's all they need. I quite like her extended family and I think if things go south with her own parents they are a good back up plan!

I'm glad she's back on the case but "If it was Muggle-borns the monster was after, then a Muggle-born was what I would use to catch it." Please, please, please don't use friends as bait. That's a seriously bad idea. Morgan, you brave, probably gorgeous boy. I seriously love him so much. Standing of for Hagrid, being the voice of reason no matter what. Seriously, I love him.

Ew at Tom. He's so, so toxic. I mean I knew he would be but he's so icky with that whole "you have me now" he reminds me of an awful ex of mine that refused to "allow" me to have male friends.

This whole Theo jumping her for talking to her brother is exactly what I was talking about earlier. Even her friends want her to pick a side. She should be able to have a bit everything. She shouldn't have to pick between family and friends.

SHE'S NOT GOING TO HAVE ANYONE LEFT BY THE END OF THIS STORY! Briony too? Are you trying to shatter my innocent little soul? I'm so worried for Hero's future that it's ridiculous! I hope you update soon because I'm definitely going to go crazy in the mean time!

Author's Response: Paula! How are you so good at analysing this story?! You're absolutely correct, it's Hero's parents with the extreme views. As you can see, the other Blishwicks don't entirely agree, but they choose to live in fear/secret than be disowned.

Ha ha I'm not doing it on purpose, I swear! I have band-aids ready for your soul or your heart or whatever needs mending after this!

Thanks again for the amazing reviews, Paula. You make me very happy ♥

Review #2, by Felpata Lupin

What happened to Briony? What are you doing to me, Bianca?
Ah, Finn... I knew he was a sweetheart, deep inside...

Hero, what are you doing? Stop it, right now! Can't you see he's using you? Can't you see he's alienating you from all the people who genuinely care for you? You can't trust a boy who asks you to renounce to everything for him. You can't trust a boy who calls your closest friends Mudbloods... Hero, please, come to your senses!!!

I'm so sad about Emory, too... She's right, obviously. Hero hasn't been there for her at all, with everything going on. How's Hero so selfish? Still, I would've wanted Emory to forgive her.

And so Sebastian was actually adopted. But why? Why would Kagan take in a muggle child? Surely there's more about it that hasn't been said yet... Can I give a huge hug to everyone?

And they found Aragog. And Hero thought it was the monster. Fortunately, Morgan knows better! Well, Morgan is my hero, I think I already mentioned that...

I'm so scared about what's to come next... Anyway, this was another wonderful chapter!
Can't wait for more!

Tons of love, my beautiful Bianca!

Author's Response: Whoops, er, sorry Chi! You got it right about Tom, but yell a little louder at Hero for her to get it right too!

Yes, you may hug everyone. If they don't need it yet, they certainly will later ;)

I love hearing from you, Chiara - thank you so much!

Love little B ♥

B!!! I saw your post in Chapter updates and decided to swing right over while eating breakfast. And honestly, I totally forgot about food!

That's quite hypocritical of Tom, to distance himself because she wasn't pure blood. He is halfblood himself *frowns*

OOh quick question, did they know Seb was magic when they adopted him? Since they're pureblood they'd want to ensure he's magic right? How did they do it?

OOOH More Blishwick secrets? This is getting darker and darker.

Poor Emory. It must seem to her that Hero is being a little too self-involved, especially since Hero didn't trust her with most of the things on her mind.

And that was just plain manipulative of Tom!

OMG, was that another attempt on Hero's life that she narrowly missed? WHO IS DOING ALL THIS!!!

You have to update soon!!

Author's Response: Thank you for such a lovely surprise review Ysh! It came as I was having a rough morning too, so I'm extra appreciative :)

That's a good question about Sebastian, and I actually have a rough answer prepared (not that I'm unorganised and didn't think of this before...), but yes they did; it's the reason they adopted him in the first place after his Muggle parents gave him up in fear of their "strange" baby. I'm planning to have a lot more of Sebastian in the sequel!

I'm glad you're still enjoying it! Thank you for always being here (and for just being you) ♥

Ahem. I MEAN. I'm going to calmly review this chapter I just read...

The whole Sebastian thing is just so heartbreaking! I can't imagine what Hero must be going through, she obviously knows now that her family has secrets. I wonder how she's going to react if there's even MORE secrets than just this particular one? And what sort of ugly secrets do the Blishwicks have, anyway? Ugh, intrigue!

AND THEN HERO AND TOM, UGH. I mean, A+ Riddle because he would totally seduce a girl into being loyal to him, and okay it was lovely to read, even though I knew what was happening, but Hero! UGH. I can't really blame her because Riddle was gorgeous during his Hogwarts years, but still.

And poor Theo, he's just going to keep being a downer, isn't he? But I kind of love that him and Emory are around to keep Hero in check. And I'm SO HAPPY that Emory finally sort of snapped around Hero, she needed to hear it.

Morgan! He is super adorable, I love him jumping to play "hero" (haha, get it? XD).

I don't trust Leighton...

And the ending! I'm not sure what it is you don't like about it, but I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT'S EVEN HAPPENING, UGH. What happened to Briony?! I need to know the things.

Great chapter! Love!

♥ Jill

Author's Response: Deep breath, Jill...

I know, naughty Tom (and naughty Blishwicks). And yes, I was rather proud of Emory for finally taking a stand, she's not as quiet as one might think at first.

Ah, Morgan being a hero, I see what you did there ;)

All in good time, my dear! Thank you so much for your review ♥ ♥ ♥

Review #5, by mymischiefmanaged

B! I just caught up and ooo as always this was so so good.

I'm so sad the chapter ended there, because you know how hopeful I am for some redeeming traits in Finn, and the fact he's there for his sister makes me think he might get some nice moments soon.

Tom's getting increasingly sinister, and his treatment of Hero is now starting to be abusive. I hope she doesn't push away her firends and her support network because I think she's going to need them soon.

Emory's anger is justified. Hero should take some time to talk to her but I kind of don't think that's very likely. She's too preoccupied with everything else going on. Emory only seems to feature in her thoughts when she's right in front of her.

And then it's sad to see that Hero and Theo are growing increasingly distant, but that was probably to be expected.

I don't know what to make of that ending! I have no idea what happened to Briony but I can't wait to find out :)

As usual, your writing's gripping and impeccable. Loved it.

E xx

Author's Response: Hey E! So good to see you back ♥

You'll see some redeeming traits in Finn in the future, I promise! Thank you so much for your review Em ♥
