Review #1, by Crescent Moon

22nd January 2016:
Loved the chapter as always!
I've decided I'm not even going to mention Al as I am far too annoyed and will wait for him to try and explain himself. (Though I can't wait to see how Liv's going to react.)
Moving on, loved the whole surprise party. And more Scor time which is brilliant. And Oz and Joe! So sweet!
I really can't wait to see what happens next and I'm still dying to find out what's up with James!

Author's Response: Haha next chapter just went up so you can see him explain himself :)

I'm really glad you enjoyed reading, and you're the only person to have mentioned Oz and Joe! I was hoping to hear what people thought of them but I think Laura's moment ended up taking over a little bit.

Thanks for another lovely review! Emma xx

Review #2, by Vanillaberries

22nd January 2016:
You write so impeccably I can't help but be jealous, or rather amazed. You seem to capture the human emotion in such a delicate manner that once one finishes the chapter, it is almost like a sudden rush of feelings fill over.

This chapter was quite the emotional roller coaster, and there were two parts of it I particularly liked. First, I love the way in which you are developing this Scorpius/Rose friendship, or even tentative romance (?) - one can find many representations of Rose and Scorpius but this one, with its simple and brief scenes, just hits the nail on the head and is really refreshing to see.

And then comes the Laura scene. This scene was great. Just plain kicka**. The fact that you could make me, the reader, actually feel sorry for Laura (this was even before she revealed the C-bomb) is phenomenal. Kudos to your writing skills here: they really shine through. I love the way in which you show Ollie has curious yet still begrudging towards the girl. I am really anticipating the next chapter, where hopefully we'll see Ollie in some kind of emotional turmoil and some future scenes hopefully with Laura - she's a fascinating character - and Al as well. I feel like you've created this new hole of potential with the reveal, and I can't wait to see where you take it.

Please update soon, this hopefully won't sound too pressuring but truly when I see you've updated, I blink twice in surprise and shock and then reread the last chapter so I'm fully prepared for the new one!

Author's Response: Thank you!!! This review is just astonishingly lovely - honestly, thank you so much. I'm not even sure how to respond.

I'm so glad you're liking Rose and Scorpius. I know lots of people are keen to see something happen between them, but I don't think it would be doing Scor justice to have him rush into a relationship while Cassie's missing. I'm glad you like their friendship.

And thank you for liking Laura! The more I write her, the more I discover about her. More on her next chapter :)

Have been strangely inspired this week so chapter 24 just went up, not too many more to go now!

Review #3, by Unwritten Curse

21st January 2016:
WHAT?! She's lying, right? Laura?

Okay. I need to process this.

First I think it's so sweet that the Gryffindors are throwing a party for Liv. I felt for her when it seemed no one had remembered her birthday, but to discover they were all keeping quiet because they were about to surprise her... AH. I love it.

By the way, I've been meaning to ask: Are there rules at Hogwarts about sneaking into another House's Common Room? I honestly don't know. And I've never read another fic in which characters visit other Common Rooms... at least not that I can remember. I'm wondering if you looked that up before you started writing. Or maybe you just used your own creative license and imagined that students would do so. Either way, it doesn't really matter. I'm just curious now. :)

But I seriously cannot process this ending! I really, really hope Laura's lying. But at the same time, I hope she's not. That doesn't make any sense. Basically, I want to see Albus's flaws, and if this is one of them, I want to see it in all its ugliness. He's been too perfect--maybe trying to make up for what he did. And just as Liv discovered with Laura, there are two sides to every story. I wonder what Albus will say when Liv speaks to him.

GAH. PLEASE UPDATE SOON.

Author's Response: Gina! Your reviews are always so wonderful I can't get over them.

I'm glad you liked the party. I felt like it was a bit of a cliche but also something that Olivia needed so I did it anyway.

I haven't thought too much about what the rules are about Common Rooms. I like to think that after the war the interhouse rivalries calmed down a bit and students from different houses were encouraged to spend more time with each other. The way I imagine it, students wouldn't have passwords to other Houses but nobody would mind too much if someone brought in a student from another House.

More on Laura soon, but you're right. Al's perfection had to shatter at some point, and it's still got some way to go.

Thanks for another lovely lovely review!
