Ooh, James likes Carlotta, he likes her big time. Even if he doesn't know just how much, but the fact that he wants to bring her along to one of his matches when the season hasn't yet started is making me all excited.

Author's Response: He definitely likes her a lot! And he's enjoying being able to introduce her to his world now she knows about it. :)

I love seeing this side of James, and not only him, but also seeing Audrey this way. Its really sweet to see him going to her and having a conversation with her. They seem to have a different kind of relationship, she seems to listen to him without judging and is also extremely supportive of him which is really nice. I'm so excited for James that he was at least called for the English team now hopefully he can make it onto the squad! And YAY! He's planning on having Carlotta go watch him at a Quidditch game! That will be so exciting though I imagine if he doesn't tell his parents before hand and they find out about Carlotta that the Quidditch match will also be rather eventful! It was also really interesting to see your thoughts behind the muggle repelling charm and just how they work exactly. I like the idea that they suddenly come up with an appointment that they think they are missing and decide they need to run off to that instead of wandering into the Quidditch stadium. Its a very interesting idea and hearing about that bit with Lily and her friends was rather funny. I could see that happening for sure! Great Job!

Author's Response: AUDREY. I love writing scenes with her, she's the bomb. :) You're right; she doesn't judge and she supports people whatever. Which, actually, is the kind of person I think Percy needs in his life to try to balance him out a bit. He's not necessarily judgemental but I think that kind of attitude would mellow out his pompousness :)

HA. You'll get a bit of Potter reaction to Carlotta's awareness of magic in chapter 16. It's a corker, if I do say so myself. :) The detail on the Muggle wards actually came from JK; I can't remember whether it's in one of the novels or elsewhere, but that's all hers. :)

Thank you again, so so much, for your reviews! It's lovely for me to be able to refresh my memory on these early chapters, and also to experience you reading it through a chapter at a time! I hope you continue to read and enjoy. :)

Sage advice, Audrey. Sage, sage advice. I'm not sure I see the Meet-the-Parents bit turning out well...

And yay James! World Cup!

Author's Response: Audrey is remarkably good at giving James the advice he needs to hear, whether it's to do with his career or avoiding his mother's wrath. Cheers for the review :)

i can't tell you how much i enjoyed this chapter. truly, and honestly, i loved this.

i loved that entire bit about the world cup and the quidditch league because everything you wrote about it sounds just so real and makes so much sense, ya know?

and i love how you described how james felt when he was at the quidditch pitch.
a lot of fanfics write james as a quidditch player but that description was great. it was like, real explanation of why he wants to be one.

and i also loved that part with audrey.
i think people sometimes overlook audrey since she's percy's wife and unknown rather than someone like angelina, or even fleur.
im rly sort of glad that you chose audrey to be james's "favorite" aunt and the one that he goes to because we really dont get enough of audrey and reading about her and how different she is from percy is just so interesting xD

yeah james DEFINITELY needs to REALLY run if he wants to play for england, stay alive, and tell his parents that he let a muggle find out about magic loll

Author's Response: I'm really glad you liked this chapter because I was worried it would be a bit filler-y, there's a bit less action than in other chapters, but at the same time it DOES set out a lot of Quidditchy stuff which is important. Much satisfaction that you like all that too, it means I'm doing it right :)

Yes, Audrey for the win. I think she HAS to be one hell of a woman to put up with Percy, there must be something special about her... so yes, she is indeed the aunt that James gets on with most. More of her to come too. :)

James needs to put a LOT more thought into how to tackle this delicate issue and live to tell the tale. Running is NOT the answer. Silly billy.

Thanks for reviewing! :)
