Review #1, by Teddy lover

Oh no! How does Teddy intend to get away with that one? I thought everything had been flawless. You included all these little details that I would never even think of. Like the outfit swap and now teddy makes a minor mistake! He needs to be more careful! Such a good chapter! Well done.

Well, the chapter title alone already has me nervous. Let's read and see what happens!

"he clearly didn't care about Malfoy's fate, but only about the money Scorpius' father must be generously paying him." Don't forget about his acquittal rate! Lawyers like that ALWAYS only care about their acquittal rate. *bleh* And then he accused the AUROR of not prepping Scorpius appropriately for testimony? What a piece of work!

"I could always report to Hermione that one of her employers was being a smart ass" -- employees, I think you meant? Unless that's a British thing, which now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it is. Also, I'm just curious about how things are arranged in the department. I have no idea how the British criminal justice system works, but in America, prosecutors are employed by the state while defensive lawyers are primarily private (unless they're public defenders). So I guess it just seems like a bit of a conflict of interest for Scorpius's lawyer to be employed by the Ministry, if he's being paid and not appointed by the court. However, this is also not very surprising since it seems like there is a TON of conflict of interest going on in this government right now in the next generation. It's stuff like this that makes it easy for people like Voldemort to sneak in and start controlling things. Scary!

HAHAHAHA! Finch-Fletchley is Scorpius's lawyer!! Oh man, this isn't going to end well. I don't know why, but I always thought Justin was kind of an idiot.

"I'm sorry! I just lost it," shouted Malfoy. --Um, irony much? Haha, good job :) Can I smack Scorpius, please? Guys like that who can't control themselves get on my nerves. Ok ok, I guess I should give him a break since he's been going cuckoo in solitary and all.

FINALLY someone thinks of the Veritaserum! Yay Teddy, for putting on your thinking cap this morning :) But somehow I have a feeling it isn't going to be as simple as that. I think the corruption is running pretty high up, so the big wigs aren't going to want their scapegoat to get off that easily. We'll see if I'm right...

"half the time one little comment - even if they were truly innocent - could be bent the wrong way to have a conviction be made." Hmm, that's a good point. I can tell you've really thought this plot-point out... Oh, AND that thing about him potentially being Obliviated was also really good! I didn't even think of that!! So I guess it isn't so easy to just use the serum, kind of like how people can fool lie-detector tests. That was great!

Ok, I know I just said that I can't stand people who can't keep their cool, but GO TED for speaking up when the Wizengamot didn't instantly acquit Scorpius. I mean, what MORE do they want?? Scorpius to sign over the soul of his first-born son or something?

"You smell good, but your nose is kind of big," --That was really funny :) Nice touch having Scorpius still saying super inappropriate, albeit truthful, things.

"Ah. So she wanted feelings?!" "Exactly." "Well, I don't have those for her" --Seriously, that whole Veritaserum exchange was hilarious :D

DOH! Ted's put his foot in it now. How's he going to cover this one up? "Um, it's Official Dress Like Scorpius Malfoy Day, Rose, didn't you know?"

This story is great! The dynamics of the characters are interestng to observe. Ted looks like he's losing it and I cann't wait to see what his excuse is going to be for hugging Rose. And the truth about what is going on beneath the surface in the case is intense and mysterious. It will be interesting to see what happens to Rose, Ted, and Scorp when the truth about what has been going on between them comes out (will rose forgive Ted and fall for him, or will she turn to Scorp?). Great story.

Hello again Drue! It's elliesaurus rex./notreallyblonde from TGS doing another review from our swap a bit ago. & I caught up a bit on your story and wanted to leave a review on the more recent chapters ;)

The development of story is going well. The trials were heated and things seem to be coming to a climax with Rose up next on the chopping block, after Scorpius' abmisal attempt at clearing his name. There is definitely something deeper afoot with the trial's results being what they were. Strange indeed that Veritserum (sp?) didn't do the trick in provely his innocense. Hmm. Odd indeed. I'm curious what will develop!

The most interesting thing about the fic however is Teddy and his involvement with Rose and Scorpius. He is beyond invested in the outcome now in every possible way (from Auror, to friend, to confidant for their respective families). I would take him off the job personally knowing what I know about his involvement. And I bet he's very freaked out about slipping up here at the end. Oh man is he really losing it. His emotions got the better of him in my opinion and not only do I want to see how he's going to make repairs for that, but how he's going to come clean about pretending to be Scorpius -without Rose wanting nothing to do with him forever.

Interesting dynamics and its not really love triangle, but character tango for sure. Best of luck - hope to get some answers to my questions in future chapters :P

Justin as the lawyer was comical to me, I don't know why. I like seeing the generational banter and older characters popping up randomly.

Dang... and everything was going so well.

Come on, make up an excuse for him. Tell her you thought she looked like she needed a hug :)

Too bad the Judge is crooked...

Good chapter, I enjoyed it. I really though Scorpious was going to get off after the drugs. I laughed when they were talking about Rose together. Feelings! well I dont feel those for her. Boy don't see a good thing, must be his color blindness bleeding thru. lol
