OH NO...NO...NO!

YOU...WHAT...YOU...PUT HIM TO SLEEP?! NO! But..how is Narcissa going to...how is he going to...how is the house going to...everything I thought was going to happen has been thrown out the window. Why do you keep doing this to me in your stories?

I thought it would have happened to Narcissa and then Lucius would have to...that's too predictable now that I think about it. Why write the story when you can change it and make it something else? Less obvious, less cliched.

Narcissa is so blissfully unaware about what's going on with the house. She's a smart witch. She needs to figure this out quickly or else it could be the end for her and Lucius.

Narcissa has no idea what kind of enemy lies within the castle. She's just skipping around like la te da, with no idea whatsoever. Things are about to get a little bit bad for Narcissa. :(

Another lovely chapter! Poor Lucius and his music, makes me sad! :( I love the fact that he wrote Narcissa a song though. I think now things are start warming up between the two, and it makes me happy! :)

Onto the next chapter, darling! :)

Author's Response: I love writing Lucius/Narcissa scenes. They're always my favorite parts, and I want to get back to focusing on them when I write future chapters. :)

Except... it's so beautiful...

ARRGGGHH. Why I am not angry? I should be angry at this horrible thing you've done! You killed him! Well, okay, not killed him, but still. Eternal sleep, pretty close. But it was just so perfect and serene and absolutely unexpected but still wonderful...

I honestly can't remember half of what happened in this chapter now, because I'm so fixed on the last sentence. OH wait, there was that part at the beginning! Someone's trying to kill her! Holy plots twists left and right, how is this even possible?

I just love that you can take so many things and mesh them in so beautifully and not have it be totally overwhelming. If anyone else tried all this crazy stuff, it would just come out rushed and forced, but everything here blends so seamlessly.

Okay, I seriously have to read now, but anyway I love the story mmk gotta go

Author's Response: Thank you!!

And yes, the forces that be are conspiring against Narcissa to keep the curse intact. And Narcissa is blissfully ignorant, skipping along without a clue.

I think I surprised a lot of people by having Lucius fall asleep - readers probably expected the Sleeping Beauty to be Narcissa.

Poor Lucius. :(

I am just sitting here in shock right now. I just...

I was so sure that it was going to be Narcissa who was poisoned by the piano -- I guess that was me being too literal and not assuming, as I should have done, that you've taken all preconceived conceptions and flipped them on their heads for your readers. I like your version much better, for it makes me WANT to keep reading to figure out what's going to happen next. What Malfoy Manor will do without... Malfoy, as it were.

I am going to miss him, I was really starting to like him as a character. HE'D BETTER WAKE UP.

Your imagery is, once again, to die for, and I cannot credit you enough for it. I loved all the colors in this chapter, especially - the reds and oranges, which can now be looked at as foreshadowing the fire. Brilliant, and an absolute joy to read.

Oh! I almost forgot -- that opening scene? Creepy as heck, and I LOVED how vague it was. That is definitely something I know to remember for later in the story. Was it a man, or a woman? My instincts say woman -- but then I guess I'll have to read on to see.

LOVED THIS SO MUCH. I would quote my favorite bits, but honestly it'd be like a sentence from every paragraph. I just love the fairy-like quality you've brought here. Everything is light and airy but deep and powerful and lasting at the same time. It cannot be easy to do, but you make it look so, and that's what I love best. I found myself searching for piano music to listen to while I read, just to capture some of that for myself.

Astounding, just amazing. I love this story.

Author's Response: You are amazing! Tis true.

Muah ha ha, I made Lucius fall asleep! And so the Beast becomes the Sleeping Beauty. It's very fitting, what with all of his luxurious hair. -le sigh-

As for the beginning of the chapter, that will come more into play later, unless you pick up on a few subtleties along the way. FORESHADOWING IS MAH FAVE TOOL EVAA. Even though it's not that subtle.

As for what Malfoy Manor will do without Malfoy, you shall see more of that in the next chapter which I wrote and posted today!

I'm so glad you liked this chapter. I think it's my favorite one, actually, so far - including what I wrote today. Maybe because of the Lucius/Narcissa-ness of it. What's that ship called, anyway? CissaLoo? Lucnarc? Narcissus? OOO. Let's go with that one.

Thank you a million, million bunches for reading and reviewing and for just being a lovely soul in general.

I am eating subway.

Lucius's way of showing affection for Narcissa was incredibly touching in its simplicity, and you wrote it very well. Also, what an ending! You have me waiting with bated breath for the next chapter to be added, particularly considering the events that transpired in the first half of this one. Great work as usual!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm particularly excited to write the next chapter, as it's going to be a rather big turning point. From then on out, the pacing should improve. I'm thrilled that you liked this chapter, and Lucius's way of showing affection for Narcissa. As for the events that transpired at the beginning of this chapter, you will see eventually what that is all about. :D

I hope you continue to like the story. Thank you SO much for taking the time to read and review so promptly after posting, as you always do. It's very encouraging to know that this story is being read.

:) :) :)

NO! Not an endless sleep! This feels like Sleeping Beauty. Has Narcissa gotta kiss him? ;)

I don't see that happening for a while. Is this the second fairy tale now or have I not noticed some?

And who is that man in the beginning? I'm full of questions! :)

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: You're right, we've come to the second fairy tale, Sleeping Beauty. From here on out, the pace is going to be a bit faster. I consider this to be the transitional chapter, so I'm very excited to start writing about what's to come!

As for the mysterious character in the beginning, only time will tell. *is mysterious*

Thank you SO much for reading and reviewing!! I appreciate it loads. :)
