Go Percy! If there's one character in canon that I just straight want to see bad things happen to, it's Rookwood, and this did the job nicely. I like though that you didn't have Percy kill him outright - even in his rage and grief, that's not a thing to take lightly, and this ending was much more real, and easier on the reader's mental state.

I love your use of language in this one shot too - "crooked and foul figure in the throngs of fighters" - that's some powerful alliteration, and as each word seems perfectly in place, it makes for some beautiful reading. The other sentence: "raced up and down staircases, through cramped hallways, behind draperies" is also a lovely one, and it really gives the reader a powerful sense of the motion and action sequences, without being overly lengthy.

Thanks for posting this!

Fisticuffs! That's a first. Go Percy! I loved how Percy just lit into him and then decided that being "noble" and helping the git was just not an option. Excellent. Some serious Percy pummelling.

This was just great!

"He laughed for his brother Fred" Awww. That was really great! I enjoyed reading that the Death Eater used "Harry's" signature spell (Expelliarmus). I love Percy's conviction and how much he threw himself into the Battle after just switching sides.
