I loved how Marietta was taunting Bellatrix! not many people would have had the courage to do that. I did love the taunting very much. I loved how you wrote this and the ending was just such a little cliffhanger, did she make it? did she not? was it aimed at someone else?
I liked how you mentioned Mariettas feelings towards Ginny and the others about the hex they gave her, I feel sorry for her for not knowing not to drink the veritasirum.
You wrote this very well, it was an enjoyable and gripping read

Ooh, poor Marietta. I liked her attacking Bella and remembering that she was a Ravenclaw and that she should be able to defeat her, and then having that resolve wavering. Some nice action sequences here so I could really visualise the battle, which doesn't happen all that often. Overall a tragic story - as so many in this collab are - but one that we can really see happening. Great job!

Review #3, by In The Shadows I Dwell

Wow, I never really pictured Marietta as such a strong character but now here I stand with my opinion somewhat changed. Alhough I still think her cowardly for her actions. You have portrayed her nicely.

Just a few things I noticed and I shall only use one of them as an example, although I did not find any spelling errors I found a few instances of words being placed beside one another without a space such as the one in this sentence: "for someone so feared, you're not very good at what youdo." just something to be on the look out for while editing. :)

Other than that this was a lovely little read. Keep up the great work!

Hm, so you believe Marietta was given Veritiserum? To be completely honest, I don't agree, of all people she was the most willing to tell and she had plenty of reasons to. At the same time I don't blame her for telling, but that isn't what your piece was about, so on to that.

It was good, but I feel as if it was missing a little something. A backstory, or just some more details in general. How did she find herself to be fighting Bellatrix? And why did she stay behind to fight in the battle in the first place?

I did really like Ginny showing up, maybe you are referring to how eventually Ginny finds herself dueling with Bellatrix?

Nice story! It was interesting taking a look at Marietta's mind.

I like the fight between Bellatrix and Marietta. It's very believable, and I can imagine it all happening - Bellatrix crucio-ing and playing with her food, and Marietta babbling on, as people do when they're in trouble...

I don't really understand why the first Avada Kedavra spell rebounded though. Perhaps it might've been a good idea to explain that. I also find it hard to believe that Marietta managed to hit Bellatrix with a crucio spell, but I suppose that one's still believable. Marietta running away was a surprise, but I like how she goes back and helps Ginny.

I thought that in this line, "...hadn't known not to drink it. She wasn't brave, but she wasn't an idiot." you kind of contradicted yourself. Marietta was the only one who didn't drink it, and yet she wasn't an idiot? I thought that was the only part in the story that didn't really flow.

The ending was sad, but it was well ended as well. I like how you ended with the Avada Kedavra [not that I'm saying Marietta dying is a good thing, just that Avada Kedavra made a great ending!] I do wonder why Marietta got "pushed back, back, and she tried to run but she couldn't" though? I thought maybe that could've been explained a bit more!

But don't get me wrong! I really enjoyed reading this! It was a very interesting perspective to read from. I've never read a Marietta story before!
