I feel really sorry for the Rosmerta in this. It's always great to read a collaboration piece about someone who isn't all gung-ho, but this one is particularly clever. I like that her motivation for staying away aren't fear and self-preservation, but inferiority and shame - she doesn't go to help because she doesn't believe she can, not because she thinks she's too important.

The last line is particularly fitting with the tone of the piece - a complete lack of self belief. I also love how in the line two before it, she thinks "once they had won" - she may not believe in herself, but she believes in Harry, probably more than almost anyone else.

Oh I feel so sorry for her, thinking that she can't do anything right. She would probably have been using mostly household spells for years, which made her an easy target. You really wrote her very believably.

The story is very well written and flows well. Apart from Rosmerta I enjoyed also all the details about what is going on in Hogsmeade and how she hears about the battle. You did a really good job with this, and after reading a couple of your collaboration pieces I see that you are a very good writer. :) Keep up the good work!
