Aww, this is so sweet and sad! And whoa, what an amazing skill, to take even the giant squid as a write-able viewpoint! That sure takes some doing, and yet you manage it with complete believability. I love the idea that even the giant squid, though understanding nothing, could still sense the battle, and which side was the right one to join. I also like the idea that he watched over Colin at the end - someone should have, Colin shouldn't have been alone.

Final line is the perfect ending too - giant squid, giant heart. Little brain maybe, but still bigger than the Death Eaters!

I definitely did not expect to see a Giant Squid story in this collaboration. I thought it was great. It was sad to see the part with Colin dying, but the thought of the Death Eater just flying through the air and into the lake, that was great. I can just picture the merepeople finishing him off. Great entry! --Jenna

Aw, that was so sweet and sad. This was a really nice look from the Giant Squid's point of view. I love how he could feel emotion, and his sitting and watching Colin was so sad. I loved the line "It seemed that the problem with having a giant heart was that it always ached far too much". It's so sad, but I can just picture the sight of the squid, heartbroken, going back into the lake.

I loved this, it was a really great story. :)
