I loved this, particularly how you've tied in the fact that Wood pounded the drills into her mind, that is something that it is very easy to imagine him doing! Yet at the same time, it is clear how this persistence gave her a distinct advantage when defending herself from a broom. I particularly love how you've tied it all back down to Quidditch, however it is also her great insight which makes Alicia a great perspective to perceive the battle from as she is clearly very aware of the world around her.

I love her little revelation, although I was surprised that she could so easily forget Quidditch, or was she so lost in the moment of battle that she could forget all those long training sessions? Nevertheless, I enjoyed this piece immensely and be sure to keep up the brilliant work!

Cool! I love the idea that Alicia and Angelina would use brooms to get to the battle, and I adore the idea of Alicia turning the battle into another ugly game against a rival team. This really fits well with the character in question, and the canon we have on this part of the battle, but it also has a big dollop of originality and flair, which helps to make it stand out amongst the deluge of great one-shots that make up this collaboration.

I particularly like the way you have them using stunners and protective spells - too many stories go straight for the AK, and that just doesn't fit with canon. Everything in this piece however just feels like exactly the kind of missing scene we lucked out of reading!

Great story! And you managed to work in the ever important exploding bridesmaid. LOL! Well written, tight action, I loved the broom flourish and my buddy Ron shouting orders (got a soft spot for the kid and I like it when he's not written as a git).

Just an all around enjoyable story. Really liked it.

I really liked this! The stories about all the old Quidditch players really get me and this one was a fantastic little read. I love the way you characterized Alicia. She was strong and powerful but not perfect. She was an amazing Gryffindor and you really captured the Gryffie spirit (but you are a Gryffie so I suppose it makes sense, hehe). So basically, well done. This was great.
