Hi there, back again! There is no fear of me not returning! To warn you, though, I probably won't be powering through the rest of the chapters as quickly I did the first three. So my apologies in advance.

Another great chapter. With each chapter we are given a fresh glimpse into the characters and their lives. Here we have a tender moment between Sirius and Hermione, but even now Sirius is still keeping his distance. Although all his thoughts and actions seem to scream the contrary, he maintains that he doesn't love Hermione. Boo, Sirius, what is your deal? Loosen up a little and learn to enjoy yourself.

And woah, Sirius and Lily had been pregnant in the past?? Way before Lily and James? Holy freaking cow. I assume this is something I would be caught up on if I'd read that Sirius/Lily prequel you mentioned, but as it is I'm totally "OMG did not see that coming"! That makes Sirius' super weird behaviour towards Hermione a bit more understandable.

I feel myself getting even more drawn into the story with each chapter: what is going to happen with Lucius? Is Sirius going to get his head on straight? Who is the father of Hermione's baby? (I know who I'm rooting for on this one!!) Can't wait to find out the answer to these questions!! (and the one hundred more I will probably have before the story is over!)

More excellent in-character dialogue, it's wonderful to read. I feel like I learn more about Sirius with each chapter. His wanting to cleanse his family name is interesting and certainly something I could believe he would want, though definitely a tough task. As the name is something he has grown up resenting, it's admirable that he would take the time and effort to change people's opinion of it. Very loyal indeed.

So we have conflict - who will the father be? I'm very interested in seeing how that turns out, lots of potential for drama. Lovely!

What a wonderful new chapter again! This was a really emotional chapter and I had tears in my eyes when Sirius remembered Lily being pregnant. I liked as well how you intertwined it with Hermione's pregnancy and their fears around that. It was really well done. All of their fears and regrets also generally come out naturally, one thought leading to another. And then you put in between those delightful little glimpses of love and friendship. :)

It hit me how right the trust that they put in Remus sounds. Hermione said that they both needed Remus, and it's true that both in canon and in your writing he is the one that everyone seem to turn to. He's such a perfect friend.

It's interesting how everyone is again suddenly so interested in the Blacks when some of them appear, because Hermione and Sirius are so different from the previous Blacks and those who care about those two wouldn't seem to be so interested in ancestry and stuff. I think there was something about it before though, so I'm probably forgetting something. :P

Sorry for the rambling. It was really a great chapter! :)

Hello! :D Er, so, I didn't know which chapter you wanted me to review, so I decided to review the whole thing! *beams* So, I just have to start out with: are you trying to turn me into a Sirius/Hermione shipper? :O! They're so sweet together, even though I didn't read the previous works, I really enjoyed this. Some of my favorite lines..

1. "It is the day after my nuptials, Remus. Why am I awaking to your face instead of my bride's?"
2. "I like the sound of it. Fetch me dinner, wife! Another glass of ale, wife! Wife, bring me my tea!"

I literally started laughing SO HARD when I read those lines. Seriously, maybe you're conspiring to turn the whole world into Sirius/Hermione shippers? :P

Anyways...before I totally get off track and start rambling about conspiracies and such (more than before xD), I just have to tell you that your writing is incredible. The images, the emotion...all of it is expressed so clearly. I feel what Sirius is feeling. I hear everything so clearly in my head. I see what's happening in the room. You really connect with the reader, which makes you a very remarkable writer!

No doubt, any more reading of this story - and you'll probably turn me into a Sirius/anybody fan :)

*runs off muttering "CONSPIRACIES, CONSPIRACIES!"*

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the kind review! I'm sorry I didn't specify a chapter but I'm glad you ended up reading it all because you left such a wonderful review!

As I mentioned in your thread, I'm glad you picked up on the humorous moments. I think Sirius and Remus have a dry wit about them but no one every really mentions it since I tend to hide that within more angsty/dramatic scenes. So thank you for picking up on those.

And, yes! I'd love to convert you! Sirius/Hermione and Sirius/Lily are my all time favorite pairings and I'd love to convert the world into shipping them :P

Thanks again. I really do appreciate it!

hello! okay so finished the prequel (the present) to this early this afternoon and then i started to read this one, finishing it later in the day, so i'm really glad that you had an update for me this quickly upon my discovery! not to be creepy, but i happened to read the review that is posted below mine and i agree whole-heartedly with every word they had said. this is all very well developed-- it almost feels as if i'm part of the story. i love what you've done with Sirius. your canon is pretty rare (its the first i've come across) and its quite refreshing!

i can't wait to see what you have next for us! 10/10

Author's Response: lol, not creepy at all. Violet always writes fantastic reviews and I love hearing that you agreed with her! I appreciate the comment on it being well developed...as I mentioned in my response to Violet, I'd never considered having my own "canon" where Sirius is concerned but I'm rather warming to the idea. I have spent a lot of years now writing him and most of the stories I've written about him do get built on in some way here in this story. I hadn't really thought about it but you two have made me realize that and I'm grateful to you both for showing me that.

Thank you for the wonderful review and I'm glad you are enjoying it so much!

Review #6, by Violet Gryfindor

It feels stalkerish to review so quickly, but it was just very good luck that I saw you'd updated. It's exciting that you've updated this so soon, especially with as fantastic a chapter as this. Sirius and Hermione make a great couple, so comfortable with one another, yet still discovering each other at the same time. There can't be enough good things said about your Sirius. He's way more fully-developed and whole than canon Sirius - he's very natural, real-feeling.

The thing between him and Lily did surprise me at first, though it fits into "your canon" - Reckless and the other Sirily stories and the way you described Sirius's reaction to it was moving. It wasn't at all the typical pregnancy story I've seen in fanfiction - it came out with a lot more emotion (perhaps because, while he was reckless, he really did care about Lily and the baby). The emotion in the entire chapter was flawlessly described, which made it a treat to read this.

There are other things I could mention, but all of it's positive and I really need to get some sleep. :P You not only write Sirius and Sirius romances so well, but your writing in general is nothing short of amazing. Even after reading a lot of other good stories lately, this one still stands out as high quality. ^_^

Author's Response: I love stalkers!! At least ones that leave such nice reviews anyway! I try really hard to make my stories make sense together but I'd never really considered it as "my canon". That's an interesting thought and makes me feel like I'm freed up a bit in my writing because I can make him who I want. So thank you for that.

I was really worried about the pregnancy issue because I didn't want it to come off as a fanfic cliche. But the idea has stuck with me since writing Surrender (the one about James and Lily's child) wondering 'what-if" had it been Sirius'. I'm sure it will probably bother some people but the idea that his new life is "echoing" his old was the main theme of the whole story so I decided to brave it and go for it :P

Thank you so much for the review and words of encouragement!
