Review #2, by DragonHeart2006Titans Trilogy Book 1: Rise of the Dragon: Chapters 5-6. Correspondence and Massacres

26th October 2007:
Hey great story, but the one thing that I have trouble with is that it seems to drag a bit in places. Instead of going into a lot of detail about battles between Harry and an oppenent maybe mention them in passing, like Hermione reading the paper. Unless of course it's extremely important to the plot, then details are glorious. Anyway that's my suggestion, you can always tell me to stuff it. Happy writing!

Author's Response: I wouldn't say stuff it, you were polite and made sense. now if you had said something stupid I'd have a long list of responses I'd choose from. Well, the reason I put so much detail into the battles is because I'm trying to show how Harry's growing more violent and less moral as his alter ego, the dragon, gains more influence over him. The big thing to know for my story, is that it's sort of action/drama/romance...though I'm not sure if I'm doing it all well. There will be a lot of detailed action throughout the trilogy, especially in the third book as it's going to be a big climactic fight. I'll try adding more to other parts so the action doesn't drag as much...anymore advice or comments about the story I'll be more than glad to hear. just send them to obisidianesper@yahoo.com or do the message thing on here. Thanks for reading, and I hope you keep reading. Warning though... Some people stop reading and have told me so because they don't like Harry killing thousands of innocents...but my big thing in this story is Harry's alter ego, the Dragon, is fueled by anger, hate, fear, and a dark view of mankind...It's what awoke the dragon both times. So in essence, the dragon is evil, it's influence will make Harry do evil things. There will be more innocent deaths on large scales throughout the whole story...so if you're like 'Harry wouldn't kill thousands of innocents, mass murderer harry sucks, you're a bad writer' then you should probably stop reading. but if you can get the point behind it, and that there's more to it than just 'mass murderer' Harry, please do keep reading. so many readers seem to have the same mentality as the wizarding world I'm writing..I wonder if they notice. haha.
