Well, Hermione seemed a little OOC in this chapter, and Ron definately did. I am slightly biased because Ron is my favorite character, and all to often I read stories where he is treated as either unimportant, a jerk, a coward, or merely there for humor and it really is my biggest pet peeve with fanfiction, the movies, and the entire fandom in general. Since this was just the first chapter, I'm not going to completely judge Ron's character yet, I just thought I'd make my opinions known. I'm not trying to be rude, and it sounds like you're going to have a really good plot going and you have really good writing style. I just love Ron too much to see him like this!!!!

I'm going back soon to edit the first 7 chapters of the story to fit the characters a bit better.
