Oh, your descriptions are absolutely perfect. No, seriously, they're just so good. I also like the mythology references to Perseus. I feel that if anybody tries to write about a character with a name that is prominent in mythology, they should try to make a reference to the myth. But maybe that's just me. I'm unhealthily obsessed with mythology. :P I've always been intrigued by Andromeda's character and why was she so different from Bella and Narcissa, and I really like what I see of her right now. You manage to show so much about her in such a small amount of words. I know that this is based on Sliding Doors but it reminds me of a Doctor Who episode called "Turn Left" a lot. Probably because the premise of Doors and "Turn Left" are just about the same (How much does one decision affect your life?).Author's Response: Thankyou SO much for reviewing, it really does make me smile so much. I'm never quite sure whether my description is too heavy or too light, so feedback is amazing! Massive myth nerd here (to the point I took a subject called Greek and Roman Myth in my first year of uni/college) so couldn't resisit! Andromeda has always fascinated me, I love reading stories about her. The length of this worries me, I'm of two minds about the small amount of words. Is that not one of the best Doctor Who episodes EVER?? I have it on my ipod, did not even think of it when writing this, but you are right - it is the same! Thanks again for the review! Report Review
Wow, this story is off to a great start. Sirius is adorable, Ruby is a mystery, and Epiphany...well, I want to find out more about it. The description you put into this chapter really made me feel like I was with Sirius in Epiphany. The way that you slowly reveal Sirius' surroundings is absolutely perfect. You really get the sense that it's like he's just woken up and is trying to make sense of his surroundings. It just added to how you really let the reader step into Sirius' shoes. Have I mentioned that I adore your version of Sirius (or, rather, what we've seen of him so far). I can already tell that he's really Sirius. That might sound a bit odd, but there are many stories where you get the feeling that even though the character's name is Sirius, he's not really him. The exchange between Ruby and Sirius was lovely as well. She is kind of infuriating in the way that she won't answer the questions that both Sirius and I want answered, but I'm sure that she has her reasons. I might be jumping to conclusions but I get the feeling that she was that girl sitting behind him in the Defense O.W.L.s or, if not that girl, one of the girls that had a major crush on him. Or something. You do a good job of hinting that she knew him a while back, but you also do a good job of not exactly telling us who Ruby is. And that's really all I have to say. Well, besides the fact that I'll definitely be coming back to review this story!Author's Response: Aw, thank you, I'm so glad you're liking it so far! I'm actually really thrilled you think so, as I really tried to put a lot of effort into the descriptions and imagery of Epiphany. The prospect of developing this entirely new world for the readers was very daunting, and so I'm very glad that the way I introduced Epiphany was effective. Oh, yay! That's precisely what I wanted (the reader feeling just as clueless as Sirius, I mean) and your liking his characterization is just wonderful. :) I have such an issue when Canon people are utterly out-of-character, so I'm actually extremely pleased you feel like he's genuinely Sirius! Oho, Ruby has reasons alright! You're on the right track, you are, as much as Ruby would had to admit how she really knew Sirius herself...*stops self from revealing more* I'm so excited for Ruby to explain how she knows him/why he's there and all that! :) Hopefully the readers will like it. I can't thank you enough for the praise, I'm so grateful! And I can't wait for more lovely reviews! Thank you so much, again. Zinny Report Review
This is me being awesome and leaving you a review. I don't really know what to say or where to start (which seems to be a recurring problem with me) but I'm just going to jump right in. Dom is absolutely epic. I love her. She has all those little ticks that make people, well, people. She's a neat freak who writes trashy romance novels and is prone to extreme mood changes and is an angry drunk. Or is an angry drunk at times. I don't know. I just know that she's just totally cool. And Molly, oh I love her too in a different way. I don't know how to describe her, really, but she's just one of those characters that you can just close your eyes and be. She's just so relatable and...not cool. Which doesn't mean that she isn't awesome. In fact, that's why she's awesome. Dom is that epic person that people either love or hate and Molly is just that regular person that you walk past on the street everyday. And the two of them together is just crazy. I love the dynamic that they create. It's perfect. And yes, to answer your question, Zachary Quinto is the most delicious man ever. xDAuthor's Response: Firstly, thank you so much for the amazing review! I scarcely know how to start responding to this! Wow. Just...wow...Secondly, Zachary Quinto is omnomnomnomnom. I'm starting to think that Heroes and Star Trek are slowly taking over my brain, but you never know... Anyways. At first, I never really thought of making Dom and Molly foils of each other...it sort of just turned out that way. The only thing I knew about each character, say, Dom, for instance, was their basic outline. I knew Dom was going to be strange, ruthless, ambitious and over-the-top. On the other hand, I knew Molly would be quieter and a bit of a pushover. When I first wrote them together in a scene, they sort of just meshed well together. Whenever they're together, there seems to be a spark. I liked the spark, so I kept going with it. I compare them with oreos and milk. Sure, they're wonderful on their own, but when you put them together - they're just that much better. ^_^ Thank you, again, for such an amazing review. And yes, for the record, you are rather awesome! ♥ Report Review
