I should probably explain that about a year ago, these early chapters were revised and consolidated, and the author notes are probably a relic from that time. (Note to self: When queue re-opens, go in there and change them.) So the commentary is about me trying to improve what was there, and I set myself very high standards. :)

Having said that, I'm glad I haven't lost you yet. I fully understand about time and if you happen not to come back I'll understand, but I appreciate your intention to. Thanks!

I like how you've introduced your characters in this first chapter! I think it had just enough information about your original characters, but you also were able to introduce the other characters that will be a part of your story! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your story!!

Author's Response: Secret Santa? Wow, thanks! I'll be honest, I didn't expect my SS to attempt this story because it's so long, so thank you for giving it a go. And I'm the first to admit that it takes a while to get going so if you do find it dull I will understand.

Well I'm liking your story! And Lucius can be pretty mean.. :D but, i noticed that the older students had classes with first years.. that's the only thing that I didn't really like lol Oh n I found a small typo.. towards the beginning, when Cissy introduces herself to Wilkes, she says "I'm Narcissa Malfoy" but you know her last name right now is Black :D just thought I'd point that out. lol Oh n why were you suspended from HPFF??

I'm not really a huge Harry/Hermione shipper, but this scene was so well written, that I find myself drawn to it! I think as you said that writing Harry/Ginny sort of made you start rooting for them, me reading this has made me sort of root for Harry and Hermione. So kudos to you! :D love it!

:( that's just heartbreaking... The more stories that I read with Harry in them, the more I'm starting to realize how much I care for Harry, I can take anyone else's pain but whenever Harry is hurt...he's just been through so much, that it doesn't seem fair for him to suffer more.. Props on how very well written it was tho. :) definitely one of my absolute favorite stories on here. And who the heck is "the client"? I'm definitely hooked. Great plot line, great characterizations, great writing!!!

Author's Response: Yeah I find it very hard to hurt Harry. I agree with you on that suffering thing. Man, that boy should never have to suffer again! I do love his version of heartache though. Harry's always tragically hurt, almost in a way that is like fate's cruel trick. His parents die and yet he hears his mother and father's voices when a dementor comes near him. Or he sees their ghosts shoot of Voldemort's wand during priori incantem (spelling?).

I don't know. I just love how Harry's pain is perpetually destined. The same goes with Ginny's break up with him. He finally is free and happy and wants to settle down, but cannot because his woman of choice is not yet a woman. His life is ironic.

Anyway thank you for all the compliments! I'm glad you're loving the plot line, characterizations, and writing in general!
