Wow. This has developed into one of the best fanfics I've read. Your story is so full of emotion and it makes me as a reader really feel for the characters. Draco and Hermione's relationship is very believable. Although Draco has come to the realization of his feelings for her, I'm just waiting for Hermione to stop hanging onto Harry. It seems that she's starting to realize how much she needs Draco though so that's at least a start. And I love your Harry by the way! I don't really read many fanfics that have Harry in them and even when I read Dramiones, Harry isn't really an active character, but I feel like you really capture Harry's personality from the books and I love that! All of your characters are so spot on. Even though Ron is a complete prat, his goodbye scene in this chapter made me cry. You have a gift for being able to capture raw human emotion. You're an amazing writer.

I can't wait until the next chapter is posted! I hope the next chapter is this long as well. This was one of my favorite chapters of this story. You're a strong writer and keep up the amazing work. Great job!

I think you've nailed exactly what the current uncertainty between Draco and Hermione is at the end of fourteen. I love that you feel for Ron and for Harry; too many stories leave them conveniently out of the plot, but I feel as if they are characters whose stories and metamorphoses are worth writing. I hope I can do them justice.

Wow. I started reading this story last night and I honestly haven't been able to stop. This story was so wonderfully written; the emotions that I, as a reader, have felt throughout these heartbreakingly beautiful chapters are infinite. I don't think I've ever read a fanfiction that put me into the characters' thoughts this well. This is by far my favorite fanfiction I've read so far. As much as it broke my heart to read those fateful words that ended Draco's life, I'm glad that you went with your gut and did what needed to be done for the story because it made it that much more beautiful. While I read this story, I kept thinking, "Why is it called Runaway?" It just hadn't clicked for me. I knew that Draco had run from his father but it wasn't until this last chapter that the full meaning of the title hit me. Draco and Hermione really had become two of a kind. You portrayed them in such a real light. Their struggles and their insecurities and their anxieties were so unbelievably realistic. Her struggle to find some way to become whole again couldn't even begin until Draco stepped into her life. She was nothing before him and he helped her so much without her even realizing it. The way you described her inner-most feelings was simply amazing and touched my heart. Although my heart aches to hear that Draco and Hermione lived a 'happily-ever-after,' I know that an ending like that could never have been as beautiful as this one.

You are truly a wonderful writer.

I think good writing puts you right there with the character, makes you feel what they're feeling, and according to your review, I was able to manage that. You've no idea how much I appreciate you taking the time to tell me so.

I'm glad I went with my gut, too. It's like I instinctively shied away from them having a happily ever after, and I do think that despite the ending making a lot of people cry, most people enjoyed it more because it wasn't a happy ending. And believe me, I cried when I wrote it. I really didn't want to do it.

And it's good you understand the title. I'm not sure a lot of people did. Though your explanation is far better than I could ever come up with. You got it, though, and I'm a little surprised by how much it means to me for someone to get it. So thanks, again.

wow!! that was so good! i wish draco and hermione had ended up together though. this was written wonderfully. i don't usually read one-shots but this is definately my favorite. you should write a follow-up short story!!
