I KNEW IT! I SAID SHE WAS PREGNANT, RIGHT? If I didn't, pardon the caps.

You made Al behave normally, and I am eternally thankful. Most stories make the person cheated on barely react, and the one who has was the lover, for lack of a better term, be all nice and soppy and 'aww I wub you too'.

But here, no. This was all nice and angsty and dramatic, hooray! I love the fact that Rebecca stood up for herself too, and again, I hold my ground: in the Charlie chapters I'm assuming Rebecca feels guilty, because Tori will disappear after this scene and Rebecca will feel like it's her fault, right?

Don't tell me, I'll find out.

Anyway, my weird theories aside, this was an amazing chapter, and I'm really eager to see all the strings tie up, though I'll be sad to see this end!

Okay! So i read this whole story (14 chapters) in one sitting and i have to say i absolutely love it! I think it's an absolutely fantastic idea that you've put down in words!

Tori pregnant? Honestly didn't see that coming.Is that why she disappeared? And James and Charlie? I SHIP IT. Poor Albus! I feel so bad for him even though he is partly to blame!

I really love this, and can't wait for the final chapters, but there are three songs which keep on making me think of this story. It's slightly annoying, mostly because they're all by Ed Sheeran, though I do love him. Sunburn, Autumn Leaves and Give Me Love. The first two remind me of Albus and James about Tori, and the third about Tori to Al. Other than that, I love the story and all the characters, and can't wait for the mystery to unfold.

Hello!

What on earth? I mean, I feel so awful that I hadn't attacked this alot sooner! Gah, it was simply just a mess of brilliance! I think that Charlie is personally one of the best OC's that I've read on thsi site in a long time, I absolutely love her. Her narrations are funny and realistic and I think her awkwardness is really something that anyone can relate to. Given all the weirdness in Hogwarts with Tori being missing and it adds some interesting dynamics as she tries to find a good balance.
Its unfair that everyone is judging her based on Tori not being there but I love that you put that in tehre and made sure to give little snippets of what Charlie had to go through. The fact that people are considering her a replacement and treating her badly because of it is a little much! I mean, it just makes me wonder about Tori all the more, even though I know something shady happened to her in the first place.
There's so much mystery around that and the fact that no one is really saying, save for Aine, just makes me all the more curious and eager to read Tori's POV later.
Honestly, I was sitting here enjoying Charlie's narration about fitting in with her group of friends and loving her friendship with James. Bit of oddness there too with him and Albus, I don't think its as simple as Al falling for Tori, I think it was something much darker.
And why is Albus not affected by Charlie ignoring him? Is he just odd? And why doesn't he have friends!? Strange...
Anyway, what the heck, Rebecca?! I have to say that that was just the most amazing thing ever, so much drama and Charlie-humor! Gah, I didn't think that little terror was going to attack her and gee thanks, everyone for letting her!! >:(
What is her issue? I'm keeping my eye on that little monster. But thank goodness McGonagall showed up, I hope she puts her in her place and speaking of, James and Charlie are getting closer, eh?
I'd like him to pick ME up after I've nearly been choked...
But that's not at all romantic.
*Ahem*
So this ending just left me with more questions than anything and why are the twins so creepy? Like, really...really sort of creepy. Anyway thank you for this amazing read! :D

I am so glad that this is a Charlie chapter, because honestly, Tori scares the crap out of me, and I feel much more comfortable around Charlie.

So this chapter started a little differently, with that dream. Creepy, much? I think it begins to set the tone for the story really well. So far, we've only had a few glimpses that something really funky is going on, but this is sort of the first real foreshadowing of dark times. And I have to agree with Charlie, here. She most certainly doesn't think she's replacing Tori, and her behaviour should clearly indicate that, but for some reason, the entire Hogwarts student body is hell bent on believing this. I wonder why that is?

I think it's really sweet that Aine's being nice to Charlie. It seems as if she's the only one around genuinely interested in becoming her friend, which is a little sad, but whatever. I hope Aine is being genuine. I think she is, but I would hate it if they became friends and then she turned out to be the Devil's evil twin or something.

And is it significant to see Rebecca slip back into a bit of what we saw of her in the last chapter? I should feel bad, but I can't. I really don't like her.

And I feel Charlie's pain so much! I hate making that awkward small talk you have to as a new person anywhere. You somehow have to say enough to make them think you're okay, without giving them your life story. Ugh, it's so difficult making new friends! And I think she's absolutely adorable in this chapter. I'm so glad to have the pleasure to read a character so much like myself: awkward, and aware of it. But she's just so funny and witty, too. If she said half the things she thinks, she would be so endearing and I think people would enjoy how genuine she is. I know I would.

I felt like I should feel bad for Charlie when she finds out about Tori. But the thing was, that I couldn't. I didn't like Tori, and I knew she was missing, and quite frankly, if people just stopped freaking out about how the new girl was here to take Tori's place and just grieve her loss like normal people, everything would be hunky dory and Charlie could continue to be her awkward loveable self in relative peace.

And I like Fred, too. We met him in the last chapter, and Tori didn't like him, but I think it would be great to be around someone so positive. It might get a bit annoying when you just want to angst in peace, but I reckon most of the time, Fred would be a bucket of fun. I hope Charlie likes him, because that's one mark against Tori already - not liking Fred.

I just realised how much hate I'm throwing at your other character. Don't take it personally that I don't like her. I think she's still a great character because I hate her so much. She'll make for some interesting conflict and drama in this!

Oh my goodness. I think Hagrid's gone senile in his old age - he has to be like a hundred by now, at least. And I think I love him even more for it.

It's weird to think that James of all people doesn't want to be noticed. It makes sense considering his girlfriend or whatever is missing. And I think brooding and angst suit him. He's doing a great impression of young Anakin Skywalker at the moment!

Aww... I don't want the Potter boys to hate each other. It breaks my heart every time I think about Sirius and Regulus, and now you've gone and done this! But I am totally intrigued!

The twins are weird. They remind me of Gretchen Weiners from Mean Girls, but now there's two of them. This could be fun!

So more intrigue, and plot development, and awkward Charlie character development. Quite an eventful chapter, all in all! Looking forward to the next one!

THAT IS SUCH AN EVIL PLOT TWIST. It makes perfect sense, and I wouldn't have expected anything else, and it was brilliant, but it was EVIL.

Hmm, Rebecca really intrigues me. I wonder how she went from Tori-hater to Tori-lover. Maybe because she feels responsible? I hope to find out about that soon!

AINE IS AMAZING AND I LOVE HER SO SO SO MUCH. Can I steal her? Please? She's such a refreshing character to read about, and the fact that she hasn't changed whether or not Victoria is there is a great thing.

Hello!

I'm here with your requested review and I'm sorry that it took a minute! :) So, we're back with Tori and her awful/interesting/peculiar/awesome train of thoughts. I shouldn't really have such a complicated feeling for a character but she's actually pretty interesting.
With her thing with James, its sort of creepy and sort of sad. I mean, its obvious that she was a little uncomfortable but putting up a front to make up for it was something that I just tsked at. And uhm, she can stay away from Fred, he's mine. >:D
Anyway, James seems sort of indifferent to what happened between them and I'd like to know why, perhaps he's so used to doing it with girls that he doesn't really care anymore? Was he playing hard to get? Judging from what happened to them later, I doubt it now. Hehehehe.
But anyway, Tori seems to think the whole world revolves around her and the way she acted with Smith was just amazing. I mean, that takes some guts but honestly, she just makes my head spin! And I'm really curious about her thing with Aine, they don't seem to like one another very much and I actually like that tension. I wonder what's going to happen later? :D
So, Albus in this chapter was a nice little surprise and he's so cute! Like, seriously, he's adorable! But so shy! I didn't like that Tori was using him but there was a tad of genuine kindess towards him that I did like seeing. I think that will play out well sometime down the line. ;)
The buildup you have going on is just great, I like the dark, glittery atmosphere coupled with teen angst and Tori is just a great character to write this story in. Her POV is just so unique, she's a person I love and hate! :D

Hey there, its Gabbie with your requested review and man do I honestly love this story. I think what you've got here is something so mysterious and funny and unique that it just gets better the more I read it. I think Charlie is the most interesting OC that I've been reading for a while, aside from some others and I love being in her head. Some of her thoughts are actually something that I would say or think myself and her awkwardness is very realistic. I wish she'd have a bit more confidence in herself but other than that, I think she's going to be great as the story progresses.
But anyway, she finally found out the truth about Tori being missing and she had every right to be spooked. I mean, everyone was acting really weird about it! I'm not sure who I'm more wary of, Rebecca, Twin One and Two or Aine! D':
And what is this with James? I feel like he's a character wrapped up in another character and I can't wait to undress him--I mean, figure out the layers and complexities of his mind.
*Ahem*
I really hope that, for some reason, Charlie becomes friends with Fred the Second, that's a friendship that would make me laugh. I really like his character and I sort of wanted to know how that Care of Magical Creatures class went.
One little break there would have actually been nice to set up your next scene, that's actually the only CC I have. :D
Other than that, what is this with Albus, hm? Mysterious stuff! Why would James warn her off from his own brother? And why were the twins so adamant that Charlie stay away from James? And Merlin, why are they so eerie? That last scene spooked me out a little! :D

REVIEW TAG!

Okay... let me be honest here. I read The Dating Game instead of Missing last time because I didn't really want to meet Tori. You said she was quite different, and whilst I was looking forward to it, I didn't want to hate her or something. I hate hating characters! They leave me feeling very conflicted and confused - which can be a good thing sometimes, but sometimes it isn't. Anyways, as I'm trying out running reviews, this review will probably be long like last time, and full of really weird jumps concerning plot points - so bear with me!

So in the first few lines, I'm thinking Tori is a horrible human being - and her chauffer has more sass than the Ninth Doctor. Tori right now is reminding me a lot of Draco Malfoy. Does that mean we'll get a similar redemption in her character as well? She appears very aware of herself and I'm wondering if there's something more to this girl. I hope there is - but I think she has a lot of potential either way - she'd be great if she was this really deep and tortured character hiding behind a façade, but I can also see her doing just as well as a really shallow, petty one, with no real reason to be nasty.

So we'd met Rebecca as this super-crazy worshipper of Tori in the last two chapters, and right now, we're getting to see this whole new side of her! She's nerdy, she's independent, and she's got a backbone - what a change! As this is from Tori's point of view, I’m really looking forward to seeing some intense manipulation of Rebecca!

I'll take this opportunity to comment on the choice in person. So Charlie's chapters are in the first person, making them very personal, whereas Tori's chapters (or chapter, at least) is in third person, making them more impersonal. I, for one, am feeling the difference in their personalities. I'm more sympathetic towards Charlie right now, as I feel closer to her on an emotional level, but Tori is just so cold in comparison, with the added bonus of the third person adding even more distance. Don't get me wrong - I am loving Tori's characterisation - she knows what she wants, and she knows how to get it, plus she's honest about it, too - which is proving to make quite an interesting character!

Ooh! I'm so happy we've met both Potter boys now! Personally, I liked Albus more, but perhaps, given time, James will start to grow on me! And I have very little experience with girls like Tori - are they all so obvious?

Aine is getting more and more awesome by the chapter. First, she saves Charlie, now she's giving Tori hives. I love her so much already!

And the ending: really, Tori? Really?

Author's Response: Yep, Tori certainly is different to Charlie, as I'm sure you know by now, but she is certainly key to the plot of this story. Though Charlie is obviously a lot more likeable!

Tori was particularly nasty in this chapter, wasn't she? And you're 100% right about the similarities to Draco Malfoy, though I never really thought about that before! And Rebecca is certainly a character who changed a lot over a year...and we'll have to see why.

I love the Potter boys and just couldn't resist writing them! However I think in this story, their relationship will be quite...different.

I love Aine! She is quite girl powery, if I do say so myself. And the ending...oh Tori! She can be quite, erm...fierce sometimes, for lack of a better word!
