I hope you don't get offended by a bit of a criticism. God, that sounds stupid and pig-headed, sorry for that. I mean, I don't have to be right, of course. It's just... Sorry, really, but this story looks like you were trying to win some cliché competition. Cliché on cliché. I can't remember anything which was close to originality (I've read only a half, I couldn't read anymore, so I'm judging only that part).
It's almost impossible, THAT amount of clichés. Seriously.
Well, but there is also a good side - yesterday I've read "Being Summer" and I can say that you've made so much improvement. I'm impressed by that.

I didn't want to offend you in any way, that was just my honest opinion. I really hope you don't mind.

Author's Response: you don't sound pig-headed at all - i'm glad that you just gave your honest opinion. this story - sigh. this story. i would rather just forget it, to be perfectly honest. i know it's not a great idea to put your own stories down, but i legit hate this story.

i wrote this just after i joined hpff - i wrote this over a year ago now, and i was very new to writing. i thought cliches were great, so i wrote as many as i could. i only leave this up now for sentimental reasons - the only part of this story that i can mildly stand is the last two chapters. being summer is definitely an improvement on this thing.

i'm not offended at all. and your vocab and grammar is amazing for a non-native speaker - probably better than mine.

Oh no it's the end! I didn't leave any reviews in between this and my other two but I just loved it all, it got better and better as each chapter went on and...gah! I just loved it. When Hugo and Vanessa finally got together I just couldn't contain my squeals, so CUTE AND ADORABLE BUT CLUELESS. I'm actually really sad that it's over now though but I might go and check out your other stories because you're just a fantastic writer, ehe :) I'm a bit sad that this is over but oh well, I enjoyed reading it all! :D x

okay, so I kind of really don't like that Vanessa is being nice to Hugo like she was; I think she should sort of hate him or at least have a strong dislike towards him since she did see him and Ariadne making out..but that's just what I think. Anyways, so far so God! Thumbs up to you! ;)

So first things first, I hate Ariadne already which is unusual for me because I usually try to give characters like that a chance but I loved Hugo and Vanessa together, they're really quite cute :)

Ok, so I have just read this whole story the whole way through and it was just brilliant, this was actually the first Hugo/OC I've ever read and I think I'll be reading them a lot more often - though I doubt any of them will ever be as good as this one!
