Hey, this is the first story I have reviewed purely cause I love it so much!! I just finished and it and went 'aw I like that!' I wonder if Lily will paint James...it would be so nice for Harry to finally know his parents :') hope this will extend beyond a one shot!!

Hello!

Wow, this was so amazing. I truly felt touched reading this. A very nice idea I must say. And the ending made me smile. It was kind of rushed in the middle but then it is a one-shot so yea. But overall I think this was a brilliantly written story. I liked how Severus and Lily bonded after 50 years woah. It was a very sweet and nice read. I liked Harry's daughter Lily's characterization too, quite amusing. All in all, a wonderfully woven story!

Good job!

What a lovely beginning to a story. I like the characterization and the pace of the plot. However, the charms required to animate Lily's portrait seem to work too well...I'd expect that sort of charm, placed by an student, to not work as well as Snapes. Please continue!

Author's Response: Thanks! I've never read anything in canon about some portraits being animated better than others, and I think an artist's skill would show more in the appearance of the painting rather than the animation of the subject. This is a one-shot, so I'm afraid there's nothing more after this. Thanks for the review!
